The show opens with Boyd Pierce introducing his new co-announcer, Jim Ross. Then we are treated to footage of Ernie Ladd's knee surgery, performed by Dr. James Andrews. Then Ernie Ladd is interviewed post-surgery. Next we are shown old footage of the One Man Gang injuring Ernie Ladd and Dick Murdoch (on separate occasions). Then One Man Gang finally makes his in ring debut, squashing Buddy Landel (the future Nature Boy). Next Bob Roop faces Killer Karl Kox. Then the Samoans face no challenge from Terry Gibbs and Jesse Barr. Next Ted DiBiase defends the North American Championship against Bob Roop (substituting for the no show Paul Orndorff). Then Junkyard Dog and Mr Olympia face Mike Boyer and Tully Blanchard (who was a jobber at the time). The show concludes with Paul Orndorff being interviewed about why he was late for the show and missed his title match.
