Turma da Mônica absolutely should never have left the comics!
FernandoRainer19 April 2024
It is not a film for children, they exaggerated the dose in the horror and witchcraft scenes, although some have more of an air of mockery than of quality cinema, the psychosis scenes are massive thinking about a juvenile audience, but they got the childishness right where they definitely They shouldn't have been in production, in addition to breaking the basic fidelity of a film that should be based on a comic book, when the scenes themselves don't convince viewers and fans that this is the reality of Mônica's gang.

The plot hardly holds our attention, it's shallow, cliché, it seems like it wasn't written by a professional. Due to this same superficial plot and the difficulties in acting, some scenes become very monotonous, the actors are waiting for their turn to speak their text. In short, the acting is not convincing, in some scenes it seems that the actors themselves are not convinced of their own characters, in other scenes there is a noticeable period of unnecessary silence between the speech of one character between the speech of another, this brings an energy very strange for the film, a lack of quality, even leading to a feeling of embarrassment for the audience watching.

The characters are not well explored, precisely because of the superficial plot already mentioned and in the same way that there was a lack of charisma in the acting, there was a lack of affection for the film. Some scenes lack logical reasoning, the horror scenes with the monster running after the characters seem amateurish, they make us wonder if it is a trash film or a child's game, in addition to the question that remains at the end, which is, how did a Renowned comic book producer accepted any production and director taking his story resulting in a film like this? Turma da Mônica absolutely should never have left the comics and that is a fact, after seeing one film after another in the saga decline over time in terms of cinematographic and critical quality from both the public and film critics.

It's not the original cast but it's good

It's a good film, I really miss the original cast, because no one can doubt that, the original cast is the best cast ever chosen for a series or a film, it's the one that most resembles the real characters and also for having a very talented cast...

Mauricio de Souza appearing in the film was incredible, there will hardly be anyone else who can do what he did and what he created, and leaves such a beautiful and special mark on history.

About the new cast: the original cast could have made Mônica young without any problem... but how they put this new cast together is ok... I don't understand why they put Carminha back in a dispute against Mônica, being that in the series originally they became friends... even though they didn't have this dispute in the end, they couldn't be very sure and it remained unexplained.

Bianca Paiva, as always, did very well and also matches Magali, Carol Roberto as Milena does well too and the whole cast is cool

The film's script is really cool, I like it a lot, it's a well-made script and has good development

Filming: I thought it was incredible, the quality of the filming was very good

The special effects are also well done, and are of very good quality.

It's a good film to watch and has a good production.
