Mark's story
loridonaldsonrocks23 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Mark has been one of my favorite characters since he's been very caring and kind towards everyone, even the outsiders. We get to see his backstory and that he's traumatized after being shot and seeing his girlfriend shot dead in front of him and why he wants to be a better person and joined this community. He also goes a bit berserk in this episode, which he relates to his past self, but I do think he was valid in his actions. Sure everyone got upset for having their dirty laundry aired out but any or all of that information could be relevant for figuring out motive and who the killer is. The only one we didn't get any answers from was Wren, who is still a mysterious character since all we know is that he's a hothead with a sweet side for Judith. Renee follows a lead at the end of the episode but she was shot before she could share what she found. Also Noah survived being caught on fire but didn't make it through the episode, poor guy really went through a lot.

Warning: Spoilers
Mark turned out to be an immoral attorney and got shot in the restaurant with his girlfriend. He played the Hercule Poirot and interrogated everyone and people got upset. Noah didn't die yet but heavily burnt and Keira the ex nurse helping them. Among the old files Renee found that wren was one of those who worked in the camp at that year. Outside mark stood guard but the killer hit him and killed Renee by shooting her in the back and drove over her.

If they'd stopped here it would have been great.

Firstly, Agatha Christie would have hated this. Anyone who's ever read or seen her work would know she was a very intelligent writer and none of her detectives were ever controling psychopaths who threaten people with execution unless they do exactly as they're told. I mean, wft?!!!

I'd already stopped caring who lived after the second episode and was just watching for the mystery, but even that turned out to be insane. What I think the writer thought they were putting in clever red herrings, but if you're paying attention they just seem like mistakes because they don't actually make sense in the storyline.
