Not only did I find this movie extremely informative; I also found it tremendously enjoyable. The cinematography is fabulous and there are numerous breathtaking scenes and images. The people in the movie are genuine and passionate about their roles in the process of growing food, food safety and the sheer delight of what food represents to us all. My perspective and appreciation for what farmers do and for nature itself have been significantly enhanced.

A brilliant film that follows an eye-opening journey of where our ingredients come from. This film does an excellent job of connecting culinary art and modern farming. Well written and cleverly produced, Before the Plate really hits home for Canadian viewers. Highly recommend.

I was assigned to watch this documentary for my Nutrition and Health class in school and I actually really enjoyed this documentary. I found it super interesting and it's just great to be knowledgeable of what you are eating. I really do recommend watching this documentary because it's more interesting than you think.

I watched this with my grade 10-12 Food and Nutrition class. They LOVED it and many commented that it helped them have way more respect for farmers. Many said that they had NO idea how educated, intelligent, and hard-working farmers have to be part of this demanding industry.
