This show is the best. I feel like this show require's more recognition, the casting is ama zing like the younger older versions they look like the same person it feels like they are actually time traveling. The best show on netflix cant wait for season 3. And and I love the chemistry between Martha and Jonas.

First season was great. Just saw 1st episode season 2. Is it me, or do I have to watch the 1st season once more to get a clue what this is about. Or just wait and see what happens next episodes?
Finished the season, now looking forward to the next!
Mediocre start for the second season.

This episode didn't convince me. First season was good. This has just been your popular teen show mixed with some mystery.
I really like scifi shows that act with conviction of being a possible reality. When this episode started I knew immediately it isn't going to reach the quality of the first season.
Or with other words, how a high budget can kill creativity.

The jury is still out

Warning: Spoilers
I watched both seasons over a few days and the jury still out. First-don't pay attention to the 1 line 10 reviews. Anytime you read reviews like that it seems they are paid for because they give NO details.
Second-the time jumping gets to be annoying in the 2nd season. I know the purpose is to get the viewer to make the connection but the transitions are not smooth. At one point there were 3 Joshua's briefly in the same timeline. The connection to the nuclear plant was made but the ending kinda of blew that up with the mention of a certain individual from another world. Good grief!
What really disturbs me the most about all of this is the genetic connections. Mikkel goes back in time and eventually marries Hannah who gives birth to Jonas BUT Mikkel aka now Michael is the biological son of Katharina and Urlich who also have 2 other children-Martha & Magnus. Jonas, as a teen is involved sexually with Martha, his AUNT and his mother, Hannah, in having an affair with Ulrich-Jonas's GRANDFATHER. In the time line-Hannah marries Mikkel aka Michael years after they meet in 1986 which is the time that Mikkel ended up in after he was in the cave. Now Hannah gives birth to Jonas and at some point began her affair with Urlich who she has always been obsessed with since childhood.
So technically-Hannah is sleeping with Urlich , her son's GRANDFATHER and Urlich's son Mikkel (Michael). The Jonas that discovers all of this in the first season and is bouncing around in different timeline in the second season, know this but continues to be obsessed with Martha-his AUNT and there are a few kissing scenes and intimate dreams about her. Martha also discovers her genetic connection to Jonas but it doesn't seem to matter. She too engages in what I feel is inappropriate behavior.
Maybe that incest angle doesn't bother others people but I found it distasteful.

Season two.. off to a very good start!

After the great qeason one, the first episode of season two does not dissapoint!
Just like the previous season, this episode keeps you invested from beginning to end! The mystery is as intrigueging as ever and this episode adds a whole new level of stackes as we are given a deadline and the outcome!
Noah was an omknous figure in season one, and this episode gives us more information about him in typical Dark fasion! The show still balances the different timelines very well and the pacing is great!
The production value is qlso crazy! From a German TV show it qlmost feels like a movie rather than a TV show!
The ending as usual leaves you wanting more!

Warning: Spoilers
Events of episode 1:
In 1921, a young Noah and another man are building a passage into the cave that will become the portal. Noah kills his companion on suspicions that he "lost his faith". The younger Noah is guided by his older self, a member of a group of time travellers called Sic Mundus led by the disfigured and mysterious Adam. Adam tells the older Noah to retrieve the missing pages of Claudia's diary in preparation for an "apocalypse" that will occur on 27 June 2020.
On 21 June 2020, six days before the apocalypse, things in Winden have grown tense. An investigator, Clausen, arrives to assist Charlotte and the police force with their investigations in the disappearances, which now include Helge, Jonas, and Ulrich. Katharina searches the cave for answers. Martha breaks up with Bartosz, who is now working with Noah. The adult Jonas from the future makes his identity known to his mother, Hannah. Aleksander has his men move a truck of radioactive waste into the power plant.
In 2053, the teenage Jonas is still stuck in post-apocalyptic Winden, having learned of the impending apocalypse. He plans to stop it but is under strict watch by the adult Elisabeth, who survived the apocalypse and now leads a group of survivors. She forbids anyone to enter the power plant under penalty of death. Jonas enters the Dead Zone nonetheless and finds a large, floating amorphous sphere inside the particle reactor.
Review:
Now we need to deal with the future. With jonas young. And the jonas old is in the present. Nice beginnig of the season 2,the story is quite enjoyable and its nice to follow along the investigations about Noah and the missing persons who grown. A lot. We still have some questions with no answer and the nend of this episode let us with more questions. Nice start!
