The single best episode yet!
freddie_ow11 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
After a slower startup the season, I expected S6 to go along at a slower pace especially considering the extra episode it was given. However, since last weeks episode the pace as really picked up and delivered a top tier LoD episode; episode 4 however, was simply phenomenal.

The action is taken to the highest level, with every single scene having you on the edge of your seat (i didn't breathe for the full hour). The acting was brilliant, as always, and really feeling for Ted as it looks like he's being pushed out by higher officers once and for all. And of course, that cliffhanger, mother of god! Overall an absolutely fantastic episode and i think probably one of LoD's best ever!!

MOTHER OF GOD!

Wow, well what can I say fellas.

This episode is what Line of Duty is all about.

Jed Mercurio is a genius. The writing is fab.

You will get amazing acting and dialogue, tense and dramatic scenes, famous Ted quotes, interrogation scenes and big links to previous series' with a few characters returning

By far, the best episode of the series. 10/10.

That's what I was hoping for.

Part 3 saw the show return to its pulse racing, top form, Part 4 unbelievably takes it a step further again, it's perhaps the first time that a series of Line of Duty has peaked in the middle, but that is exactly what's happened here, this was high octane, exhilarating drama, I was on the edge of my seat throughout.

The hijack, one of the best scenes in the show's history, the last time I was this engrossed a certain Urgent exit required message came ringing out.

Mercurio knows how to deliver a thrill ride, and this was one hell of a rollercoaster episode, more faces from the past, and finally Ryan makes his mark. Will there be any more faces, will we see Gill again?

Who is H, seems as though I've been asking that question for years, I'll almost be sad to learn.

How can they possibly follow that, 10/10.

Wow - brilliant - great TV

This episode shows just why UK police series are so classy. Great story, great script, great acting - and massive tension. Edge of the seat stuff.

It's impossible to guess where the story is going - and that's what makes geat TV.

Episode 6.4

Warning: Spoilers
The sixth series of Line of Duty has been simmering so far without a wow moment.

Maybe because this series has seven episodes so the pacing has been on a tad sedate side.

By the end of this episode, along with most of the country. I had the television screen on freeze frame and my head sideways trying to identify who was on that photo!

Actor Martin Compston had earlier tweeted that this was going to be explosive and it was in several ways.

An action packed attempt to take down a prisoner that Steve was escorting.

AC-12 might be disbanded and anti corruption units being gutted.

Buckells buckled under his AC-12 interrogation. He came across as a man who has been overpromoted all his life and his incompetence has now been unearthed.

Writer Jed Mercurio has added so many layers. Organized Crime Groups have infiltrated the police, the prison system even anti corruption units. It may go even higher.

Now I just need to figure out the relationship issues. The clue might be which other Scottish actor has had a significant role in the past series.

Exciting episode no doubt & it had all the excitement, drama & thrills you would expect from a top show.. Defo one of the better ones from the whole series to date. I loved the Ted Hastings quotes. That man is brilliant & in my view of a what I expect from a hard but fair policeman. The episode moves along nicely & before you know it the hour is up. More than a few shocks. Good Job Jed.

Best episode so far

This show is really great. Yeah, it gets a slow start in the beginning but finally it's getting into main story with organized crimes and action packed suspense. Thats the soul of this series! Now, wait for the bent copper.

Think 6 gets off to a slow start..
scottgomersall12 April 2021
Series ( or season for my American friends across the pond ) six gets off to a slow start. There's no spectacular set piece event as in previous Line of Duty series. The first couple of episodes are good but you might think 'has this show lost it?' . Please stay with it, episode three is very good but this...4... is one of the best hours of television drama I've personally ever watched, every scene is great and the spectacular set piece event missing that was in previous series?

It's here and one of the best..

Back to its very best - if anything the show is getting better. That big ending was quite superb. Well done to all involved.

Series 6 explodes into life

AC12 interviews a prisoner which leads to dangerous times.

This is a strong episode that increases the intrigue and excitement.

The first three episodes were slow burners that laid good foundations for this one. There is a central action scene that is very well made and probably the strongest in the show's run so far. Strangely though in the aftermath, several of the characters involved behave like it was a normal day at the office!

Additionally the story links well to the overarching narrative of the show, where previous characters resurface and this helps maintain interest in the larger conspiracy.

All actors are on great form and this one contains some of the best production values of the series.

Seriously - what is with these reviews
pat-ford-215 April 2021
The most dreadful script in all of Line of Duty so far. So unnatural, it's hard to tell if the acting is terrible or if it's just the wooden, formulaic script. None of the nuance or realism of the previous series. How this is getting 10/10s is absolutely beyond me.

The best episode in quite some time with a great action scene making up for a lot of lengthy interviews at the station.

A cliff-hanging conclusion and a great reason to carry on watching.

The Line of Duty that I love is truly back with this episode! This is what we were waiting for! Slow start, but in all fairness,an intriguing buildup to this edge of the seat episode! It's going in all directions as to who the bent copper is,which makes it so addictive to watch. Welcome back AC-12!

Line of Duty finally returned to the show we all know and love. I've been waiting for this episode and it didn't disappoint; ambush, murder, interrogation and a cliffhanger. "Mother of God...."

Great writing
horst6914 April 2021
... in the reviews , that is .

The more the show deteriorates, the more glowing the reviews get, and the better the ratings become .

Like most of season 6 , this episode is mostly the actors reciting the script, telling the viewers what the story is all about .

Basically it's an animated podcast for the most part .

To be fair, there are a couple of scenes that are well made and great to watch, but that's not nearly enough to carry any kind of coherent story , or enough reason to sit through endless repetitive generic dialogue .

Not to mention the characters/actors, who always seem to rather be doing something else than being part of this mindless drivel .

The episode is 90% filler, 5% story, and 5% enjoyable - in the end, there just is no content worth mentioning .
