Reviews like that 1 star "meltdown" should just be outright removed IMO. It's not like we tuned into an episode of the Teletubbies and a kid got shot, it's a show where at least one person gets shot or obliterated by a drone almost every episode

I do think killing Charlie is a waste of potential in a character. It feels a lot like they didn't know what to do with him once he returned after so much of the story being about getting him back. Then they got him back, clearly with some emotional "issues" but also seem real survival skills, and then all of that seemed to get swept under the rug quite quickly and he was just a "normal kid". Just... seems kind of a waste? He didn't do very much at all for a long long time.

Really good episode though, and at least Charlie got to show a hint of the skills he developed surviving in Santa Monica to give his sister a chance to escape.

Sure it was a difficult scene on our hearts, but..

to call it too much and stop watching is actually too much, it's a TV show relax it's not like they killed a child IRL !!!!

I've certainly loved Charley but I loved the suspense it added to the show and honestly it was a necessary twist that no one is safe it's an alien occupation aiming towards making Earth an intergalactic battlefield between two advanced races. Casualties are expected.

you can watch sitcoms and Sesame street if you can't handle this kind of violence.

This is the best and most shocking episode so far.

I really liked charlie so seaing him die the way he did was nor good for the hearth at all.

I'm still crying right now. This was too much and uncalled for. The family couldn't always have been safe but to kill a child was more than heartbreaking! Why not just wound him and have him?? The way he died was wrong and then to show his body later was just too unsettling. I sincerely feel the show went too far here. There are some unforgivable unspoken rules about tv shows and movies: Don't kill children, happy endings are better for ratings and don't hard animals. Successful tv/movies rely on those factors, especially not killing children. And if for some reason a child does get killed, they are killed off scene and usually with one of the parents. Seriously upsetting so I'm giving this a 1 rating. I'm not even sure I want to watch anymore of this show and I was a strong supporter of Colony. I'm extremely disappointed in the writers. It's obvious to me they don't have kids or they don't care about their audience that does.
