The perils of inside information.

Warning: Spoilers
I did enjoy the episode as I am beginning to very much prefer Dimension 2. The H. Silk imposter is getting old real fast.
My only issue is that this show is quickly becoming a case of:
We get it, Indigo are well connected and ruthless but in the previous season Prime Howard tells us how sloppy it is in D1. It really doesn't seem like this is any different between worlds.
My only issue is that this show is quickly becoming a case of:
- Party 1 willing to provide information.
- Party 2 ensuring that they will be giving protection
- Antagonist party - Gaining access anyway and punishing the giving away of this information. Usually with a quick double tap to the chest.

This is like watching a car accident. You want to look away, but you can't. Yes, I am confused, but I do have a feel for the characters. The two Howards and the two Emilys are where I get lost. Are we to believe the statement at the end that there are only two terrorists left? Mira also keeps my interest. She is as cold blooded as anyone I have encountered in fiction. She is cyanide. It will be the obligation of the writers, going forward, to bring to bear a final confrontation to pique our interest.

Warning: Spoilers
I can't be the only one who is incredibly confused when watching Counterpart.
That is not my sole reason for the kind of mediocre score for the episode though. This show gives us so many side storylines that seem pointless and distract from the drama between the two worlds, which is the main selling point of Counterpart.

Imprisonment

Although the show manages to bring up some new surprises, I feel that the show starts to drag. These long and overly explanatory talks and conversations about relationships start to feel repetitive. They offer us new characters and new problems but they still talk about what we already know. I have no problem with slow-moving series but I want to see the cat and mouse play when the main heroes are chasing the spies. It sometimes feels that the writers aren't quite sure how to cleverly resolve the interesting plot points without the unnecessary action sequences so they fill up the time with Howard and Emily talk about the same things we already know about their past.
Although I'm starting to lose my patience, 'Counterpart' can still offer some exciting developments that keep me on the leash.

This show as boring as I do?
Maybe my other is watching it, bored...wondering if his other (me) finds it as boring as he does.
Yes! I do. I am bored out of my mind.
I dont care about any of them...or any of this any more.
Ha. Maybe the director of this is the polar opposite other of Vince Gilligan.
Our vince is excellent at building suspense and paying off.
This Vince pulls you to sleep, doesn't do any m night shyamalan twists...and continues trying to not one up...but two down himself.
I dont want to say this show sucks as being any judgment against Simmons.
I feel bad for simmons.
He had to make this garbage. I just have to watch it. Hell...I probably spent more time watching this than he did acting in it.
He's essentially an extra at this point.
To finish this series or not...that is the question.
