Mediocre to the last drop
tomfsloan27 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Typical overly obsession themed movie with frivolous tension. The young boyfriend/bad guy Brady was not at all realistic. His character would have better if they gave him a nice slower build up to his evil side. In fact, it would have better if he were not in this movie at all. They certainly took away the surprise when he came to their house, since that was shown in every preview. Wow, what drug did he give her? Again, no gradual build up. She went from sixty to zero in a second...and woke up later perfectly clear. The scene with Brady's dad was stupid. After all the evil things Brady does, and everyone else telling her too, Stephanie still refuses to call the cops. Brady was a jerk and so was Stephanie. They would make a fitting pair. As par for the course, why do movies have multiple titles? A Woman's Nightmare, A Parents Nightmare, or The Wrong Affair? Dallas was a nice different movie location for a change. Descent camera work and nice sets, but visually all the colors were disturbingly saturated. Either watch this on a black and white TV or better yet don't watch it at all. Spoiler alert: When she shoots him (which is a good thing) the stunt dummy falls into the river and floats unlike a real human being.

Mindless distraction
phd_travel5 October 2019
If a relaxing little Lifetime thriller with a vaguely familiar Fatal Attraction style scenario is what you are in the mood for then this is alright. Just change the players a little. A separated woman has a fling with a 26 year old man. Except he isn't 26. When her husband returns and they patch things up, he won't let go. Starts dating her daughter and you know the rest - typical Lifetime stalking stuff. I like Gina Holden the main actress. Corin Nemec plays the clueless hubby. So it's fairly watchable. One plot flaw is the wacko is too young looking to pass for 26. And he speaks childishly.

Anyway you want to see how things work out even if this is very formula.

Your standard LMN plot line and nothing more
vbacon-111-57832919 December 2020
I'm a big fan of LMN movies and understand that there's probably a software program that writes half of the plot line (friend figures out real villain, friend gets killed by villain before they can tell them, man tries to save the day in the end but fails, woman lead finally saves the day). The better LMN movies manage to add at least something unique, some kind of plot twist, to make the movie a little different. This one doesn't.

Gina Holden isn't one of my favorite LMN actresses and doesn't shine here. The guy who plays her husband, LMN regular Corin Nemec, is even worse. The handsome Johnny Jay Lee, the chief villain, might have a future if he could tone down the overacting. I don't see much of a future for the young Alexandria DeBerry either.

Come on LMN. Hire some more writers to spice things up a bit.

Yes, I slept with a high school boy, but it really wasn't me
hoops-5343616 April 2022
There's only so many ways you can spell stupid. And the lead female character is evidence that you can't fix stupid. She goes to bed with a kid she has known for, like, ten minutes. And it's not a one night stand....it's several times. Then she wonders why the kid won't leave her alone after her husband comes back. Gosh.

And then, when talking with her friend about the affair, she says she slept with him but it wasn't really her. It was the character in her book. That could be a new defense strategy when someone commits a crime- "Yeah I did it but it really wasn't me!" The whole story was overwhelmed by this woman's stupidity.

At least the dumb woman reflected on her experience and learned from it. Too bad she had ruined so much by then.

The acting is beyond terrible in this movie. It was so unrealistic, it felt so forced. The camera work looks terrible as well. The daughter's acting was the worst for me, it feels so fake and forced like someone is trying out acting for the very first time. Sorry but I can't get past the bad acting to even address the other issues of this movie.

DUMB
darkmomo-8183114 February 2021
I saw another review blaming the wife...HOW?? He handed her divorce papers, she had every right to go bounce on someone else. Bye. But the dumbest thing was that it all could have been avoided if she just told her husband. He's legal age. In my opinion she should have dumped Kevin too for being such a moronic, pain. Throw the whole idiotic cast of characters away.

Usual cheapening oF women by LMN
haroot_azarian7 March 2021
I don't know why LMN like to portray women as easy lays who see the light of day too late. It's another mother and daughter being totally dumb bates again like the psycho poolboy with Jessica Morris! Also couldn't they find a better Brady who actually looked his age and not look like s 14 year old in the middle of breaking his voice?! And his acting was totally terrible! Gina is a better actor than this. As for Colin Nemec! He was not born to be an actor! He's not going to get any awards.soon for anything! And what the hell was it with Brady's red lipstick? 😂

Brady's car... a black, gold trimmed '79 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6 Litre engine with T-Top is the star of this movie!!!
carlloud11 February 2021
As soon as I saw Brady drive up in that black, gold trimmed '79 Pontiac Trans Am I literally said 'out loud' to myself..."That kid doesn't deserve that car!" I owned a red '79 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6 litre engine (no T-Top) back in they day and I would make a deal with the devil to get it back. That punk doesn't deserve that car. Not then, not now, not ever! A proud (former) Trans Am owner. As for the movie itself, pretty lame. Reminded me of 'Fatal Attraction' a little bit.

Young Passion on the Bridgeway
lavatch15 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Stephanie Peterson is a bestselling mystery writer of books like "The Crazy Woman" and "The Tipsy Alchemist." Her creative impulse is engaged when she role-plays her characters. But in a lapse of good judgment, Stephanie decides to impersonate "Vanessa," the crazy lady from her first bestseller, who was a murderer who dated younger men.

At a moment when Stephanie is separated from her husband Kevin, she introduces herself to young Brady as "Vanessa." The couple then proceed to spend a night at the Lorenzo Hotel with fateful consequences. Kevin decides he wants to make the marriage work, and Stephanie breaks off the relationship with Brady. But the young man begins to stalk and torment Stephanie and her entire family.

The actions of Brady stretched credibility to the breaking point. It was not clear how he could be permitted on a school campus after being expelled. His budding relationship with Stephanie's daughter Anna also seemed implausible. While there was some clear chemistry between Brady and Stephanie, there was none between Brady and Anna. In fact, the best scene in the film was the initial, steamy encounter between Brady and Stephanie.

The filmmakers made use of some good location footage, especially the scenes shot on a bridgeway. There was effective symmetry with the film's early scene with Stephanie and Brady kissing on the bridge and the grand finale that returns to the same scene with Brady holding Anna hostage on the bridge.

By the end of the ordeal, Stephanie produces her latest blockbuster entitled "Young Passion." As a writer, Stephanie works under the creed that "art imitates life." But for this book, she was pushing the envelope in her quest for creative ideas out of real experience.

awful
geoffox-766-41846725 January 2019
Why do I watch these LMN movies on TV? I guess because they're so bad they're that interesting. Always the same plot but in various settings. Always the same performers, mediocre talent and always the same annoying looking females.

Sometimes I turn to another channel immediately and sometimes I force myself to watch and often I come back toward the end to see how the villains get their uppence.

Why is it the females in these flicks always have hair down to their butt? Whether straight, bleached or in ringlets. The men always look decent but the females are looking like freaks. In this movie the leading lady tries to look younger than her daughter. Her hair was so annoying that I had no sympathy for her. Her daughter was just as bad with the same long hair but bleached almost white blonde. Now watching some of Seduced by My Neighbor and what is the first thing I see? A female with hair down to her butt. Is this a requirement for LMN's leading ladies? Long, long, long hair?

To this viewer, their looks ruin the film. Don't they know of bobby pins to keep this long straight hair out of their face? Or are we forced to watch them constantly fussing with keeping their hair in place?.

The wrong affair
Stanlee10711 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I could spend a lot of time critiquing why this movie is terrible. However, that would be redundant as it would be a waste of my time or any potential viewer's. Here is a list of my grip about the film: there are an awful yellow & green tinge throughout this film (it is distracting maybe a relief for the viewers), the acting is poor (to say it is amateurish would be an insult to those actors starting out), the plotline is ridiculous (a married woman would mistaken a high school boy to be 26 years old and has an affair with him, yet she is the victim in all of this b.s. It follows the clichéd that it is never the married woman's fault & that the only logical blame is on the boy... After 2 night of passion & she must have a magic tricks that turns a troubled boy into a stalker.
