It doesn't need to be a historian to understand that this film is more than inspired from actual events. Not for all audiences anyway, only destined to those like me, interested in the period of time, and the relationship between Poland and Russia just before the Nazi invasion. The tale of a soviet officer in charge to make Polish ones to collaborate with the Red regime. Very subtle, I repeat, where you have a terrific character study. It is hard to explain how interesting this movie is. Unfortunately, I will probably be the only one to watch and like it. A real gem.
