More of the Swamp, less of the Thing.

The storyline is getting intense through each episode and the participation of all the casts in their respective characters is satisfying. But they should show a little more of the Swamp Thing and his powers. They already introduced quite cool characters from the comics and in this episode they introduced a very mysterious and powerful DC character named Phantom Stranger, but apart from that they didn't show anything of him.

I'm more interested in Daniel Cassidy and his storyline.

Warning: Spoilers
The reveal of Matt being the one who shot Alec was a bit of a surprise. But I'm a little doubtful. Other than that, I'm honestly more interested in Daniel Cassidy and his story arc at the moment. Finding out Ian Ziering is 55 years old was definitely surprising too.

More than Swampy.

Warning: Spoilers
This is not only natural, this is supernatural. Things are unfolding them as the show is progressing. In this episode we discovered serious past events, like Sawna's death. But I am still waiting for Swamp Thing's full powers.

Swamp Story: A soap opera with very little Swamp Thing.
WisdomsHammer29 June 2019
First of all, if you completely took Swamp Thing out of this episode, it would hardly matter. That's not the show I wanted to watch.

Second of all, remember everything that happened last week? People going bonkers and hallucinating after getting scratched? Well, the show is apparently pretending last week didn't happen.

There are so many disjointed stories going on that have no connection to each other. This thing is a mess.

All that being said, this actually might be the best episode so far in terms of engagement and watchability, even if it does jump around erratically. It's still not that good, but it is watchable.

I keep watching, hoping this thing will start being a show about Swamp Thing. So far, no dice.

Drive All Night

Monstro do Pântano (2019)

Series

1st Season

Episode Five - Drive All Night

The height of the bridge that the girls in the past jump on appears to be small when they jump, but when they are swimming, the height becomes greater.

The girl from Teen Wolf saw the zombie in the room, doors slamming, lights flashing and the first thing she thinks to ask the old woman is did she tell the girl about her dead daughter?

The worst episode so far, I don't know if it was because I thought the episode was really bad, but I thought the acting was so bad in this episode from everyone involved.

Episode five of the first season of the Monstro do Pântano Miniseries watched on May 18, 2024.

Rating: 2/10.
