To Live and Die in Mexico
bobcobb3017 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
NCIS: LA has had an up and down run, but I am kind of shocked it lasted this long.

There was nothing groundbreaking about this episode, but it felt like a special event as a season premiere.

Not as over the top as usual either, both in dialogue and violence, which is kind of surprising given the premise.

Best Densi Episode Ever
MovieTVRomanceFan7 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly this is by far one of the all time number one best episodes EVER that focus on the romantic relationship between Kensi and Deeks. In the season 9 finale I was absolutely heartbroken when they had the biggest fight of their entire relationship that resulted in the pair breaking up which ultimately broke my heart. However, this episode had healed all my wounds from the season 9 finale as we saw Kensi determined to get her and Deeks to safety when he was unconscious. Seeing Kensi so worried about him, more worried than she ever has been before about him was amazing and so emotional. Kensi really proved and showed how much she truly loves Deeks even after their huge fight. By the end of the episode, one of the best moments ever was their reconciliation in the hospital room when Deeks woke up and he and Kensi finally reconciled with the pair declaring their love as they just simply can't live without each other. Overall, Best Densi Episode Ever and I Can't Wait to see the Wedding.

Confused
JasonSterling2919 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I love NCIS: Los Angles but this episode had me confused and angry. When Kensi got trapped under a helicopter in Afghanistan she was helped by G, Sam, and Deeks.

Now in Mexico Deeks got knockout and she drags him all by herself. Why? To sell their love? I really love this show but there were a few times in this series I've hated them.

All and all it was a decent episode. I was just upset about Kensi pulling Deeks through the desert. No way she could have managed him and why split up when you mostly operate as a team in two partnerships?

I can not agree with me.

Mosley only thinks about her own profit. Ineffective as a manager.

Such a poor start to the new season
LittleStorpingInTheSwuff10 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
As one poster already noted, an RPG should have killed off at least one of the agents, if not all of them. Come on, writers, have more respect for the intelligence of the viewers!

As for Mosley, you can add cold blooded murder to the list of things wrong with this character. Why is she still around????

Drudgery beyond belief
insideout0985 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The death of Hidoko was a major mistake for this series. She was always at the outer perimeter of the core group, which made her role so interesting. Moving on, this episode was pure, unadulterated drudgery. A shoulder-launched rocket that scored a direct hit on the the group's vehicle should have incinerated all of them. Instead, they all magically survive, and then saved again by a dog in a bad trick, we're taken on a slow crawl through the desert towards what we all know will be some level of salvation. But from an entertainment point of view, why? Why a wounded Deeks who had to be dragged through the desert on a make shift stretcher by Kensi? Seriously? This shatters all boundaries of credibility. Then there's the hospital scene where the cavalry arrive, what, 5 seconds after the assassins are called off? Come on! This whole thing was so poorly conceived, written and executed that it's almost laughable. Fyi, I could not care less about the love affair between angel-haired Deeks and Kensi Bly, and I'm sure most viewers feel the same. And yet, they have become the central focus of the series. Pathetic.

Awful awful awful
natekitboucher3 January 2019
This show used to be edgy fun. Good cast and good plots. Not any more. Last season and so far this one has been badly written and what has happened to the cool hardcore kensi. Now she is just so sickly sweet and weak. Not a positive female character at all anymore!

Never really cared for this show, but.
MyEinsamkeit15 November 2021
I never really cared about this show. I'm more into NCIS New Orleans, sadly that was taken off the air. But about this episode, yea its TV, so expect some fakeness. What i don't get it, where's their backup? I would assume by now the entire Military' would come to their aid. That's the only thing that bothers me. So the episode was exciting, but at least bring some backup.

As for Deeks and Kensi, i think everyone is missing the point. You guys are worry about their on screen relationship lol, what about their real life ones. It seems that the woman is married to Deeks, real life brother , talk about weird. I would feel unconformable knowing my wife is kissing, making out making fake love scenes with my brother hahaha.

Suddenly Kensi gives a damn again... talk about high maintenance
greydug12 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This shows lousy writing from last season continues into season 10.

She was ok leaving him in LA to go on the stupid unsanctioned mission for her idiot unworthy boss, but suddenly, now that he's injured because he followed her, she can't be separated from him.

Really curious if Nia Long brought these idiot writers with her when she came to the show and really hope she takes them with her when she eventually leaves. Her character is the worst in NCIS history... the story arcs, writing, plots, character development...everything since she showed up has been absolutely horrendous.

Season 9 was so much stupid in one season that is was an accomplishment never before achieved in television history and season 10 appears to be continuing the trend.
