End of a brillaint season

Everything is back to way it should be.

What a flawless season a slow burning explosion that goes off at the end. Instead of destroying everyone it just refocuses everyone to what/who they really want to see burn

Good writing!

It is a total climax, this episode starts right away with moderate drama and by the middle it shoots right into the stratosphere with its packed drama, wrapping some open issues, keeping dome things open for twists. I mean it definitely delivers satisfaction to some progression of characters, while reviving the oldtime long standing character plays.

It wraps enough of the story to make you scream, it brings enough twists to shock and wonder, and it leaves enough to wait another year.

Greatest show on air right now!

I have burst into laughter when Chuck started to speak Italian, it was a phenomenal scene. This show is very special for me and I think it is very underrated when there are so many low-quality shows getting many appreciation. I hope they continue for many seasons and we see lots of wonderful episodes like this.

Beautiful writing

Billions is probably the best written TV series ever made. This season had a few weaker episodes at the start in my opinion, but when you wrap up a season in this fashion, all is forgiven.

After Game of Thrones delivered somewhat disappointing final episodes, I'm really happy Billions managed to sustain their 4 season-long streak of brilliant writing & acting, and deliver some of the most complex and innovative character storylines in television. Really looking forward to season 5!

Sorry to rain on the parade but the plot is a little too cute. The story line relies on trickery as a substitute for good plot development. Both with the Axe and Rhoades angles, there is too much "what you see is not what is happening." Felt like I was watching a whodunnit where the cunning detective explains it all at the end. You can get away with it maybe once but not as a repetitive main feature. Sort of like getting hit with a surprise birthday party every year. But all in all 10/10 for the season. Here is a reverse spoiler. At about episode 4, I thought Taylor Mason was getting in over his head and would end up crushed in a proverbial Russian bearhug but it was not to be.

Hardly wait till next season

One of the few TV series that keeps you on the edge after 4 seasons. Not boring, no cliches. Authentic characters brought to life by amazing actors and the writers do their job perfectly. Exciting season finale with many twists - not the usual end-of-season- cliffhanger, I am actually curious where things will go and how this duell will end for Bobby and Chuck. Looking forward to season 5!

Excellent season finale!

I thought after the 3rd season that the peak was behind us, I'm happy that I was wrong. I loved every minute of the 4th season, and the finale, wow. Suddenly every piece of the puzzle came together, and in what way!

The script writers deserve a medal!

This is exactly how to end a season AND set up the next one! Pure genius and well done all involved. Superb writing, direction, acting, post and sound (including score). I can hardly wait for Season 5.

Amazing writing

I'm amazed at how good the writing for this tv series is. From the numerous quotes to popular culture, arts, history, literature to the outstanding machiavelan speeches, this show certainly steals the price. Just when you started thinking "well, these ideas have to run out eventually" they finish a season with this style. I'm a voracious reader of literature and I gotta admit this tv series right there in the top when it comes to scripts. I feel that I should are thou, that some of the directions the plot has taken are not very plausibly. Lets take a look at Rebbecas ark, it just doesnt seem that she would just be set up so easily by Axelrod. Remember shes as intelligent as he is. So there are yes these flaws which look like writers deus ex machinas at times, since Rebbeca Cantu only served them as an excuse to bring Taylor back.

Everything you love about Billions

There is no right or wrong here. Just good entertaining tv. I did not see the climax coming and all the missteps from before suddenly made sense.

Also kudos for not moulding the characters any which way just to move the story forward. The characters seem to have a mind of their own and often sidestep stupid boobytraps which most other characters make in TV serials to fit the story.

One of the best episodes of Billions bar none, so many twists and turns with Bobby Axelrod & Chuck Rhoades always coming up trumps against their rivals! The plot, dialogue & script is just perfect and totally excels in every aspect.

At first, the part played by Asia was interesting, as an intern, young, new, fresh. But now, in just a couple years, "They" are being portrayed as a seasoned veteran, a hardened warrior. It's too fake. They don't fit the mold. Sorry. It's like trying to use Julie Andrews to play he unnamed man in High Plains Drifter.

Rarely does a show build up over many episodes to an amazing reveal. This one was done spectacularly.

Almost everything is flipped upside down in this season finale. And it's so well done, I saw none of it coming.

This episode, and by extension, this season, is amazingly written and acted. Nearly flawless entertainment.
