Don't listen to those bending over for China
colerobbert10 October 2019
While not the best ever, still a good episode. Those 1 stars are from those (coincidentally one of those 1 star reviewers only have one review - and it's for this episode bashing China... hmm) are from people who don't like that South Park is taking shots at China.

South Park has always been known to be controversial and have no boundaries. And that's fine with people - that is until South Park takes aim at current government right leaning leaders.

Pretty good 300th episode
Liamcg10 October 2019
I think they are slowly wrapping up the Tegridy Farms storyline which is good, it's been going on for far too long imo but I think they can do a good job finishing it off.

Cartman/Liane's storyline was alright, it's nice to see characters who have mostly just been tertiary characters for a good few seasons get some time in the spotlight. Will be interesting to see where they go with Liane in the next episode.

I really do just miss seeing all the boys together, I know we still see them every episode but the past few seasons have focused on the parents and while I do enjoy them a lot of the time it would be nice to have some single episodes that had a big focus on the main five boys again.

Think the season is getting better with each episode, looking forward to the next episode.

An alright 300th episode
smilestherockstar12 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, the synopsis is that Randy celebrates the $300 000 milestones of Tegridy Farms and Cartman refuses to get his vaccine.

I have said this every time, but the Tegridy Farms plots are getting very old. I really don't find it funny anymore when Randy says "Tegridy!". In addition, the show making references to the show itself is also getting old The only exception was Randy's vulgar comment about the Chinese government. I just love how the show doesn't even care that China banned it!

The $300 000 plot felt more like an excuse not to make this a special episode than an actual plot. However, it got more interesting when Towelie and Mrs. Cartman started getting involved.

The side plot with Cartman not wanting to get vaccinated was surprisingly funny. First of all, the idea that Cartman never got vaccinated was hilarious and was very similar to him having anxiety in the last season. The best scene was most likely seeing Cartman move his mom out of his house and the entire roundup scene. But mostly, unlike most episodes this season, this episode ended in somewhat of a cliffhanger. I don't know if they bring it back or not, but I sure hope they will.

Overall, "Shots" is an alright South Park episode but is good enough for the 300th episode.

I like the topicality
lukasbutters10 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Many people dislike the fact that the creators have lately been making fun of topical things, and claim that it is lazy. But I disagree. I think that's the beauty of it. Imagine rewatching this show in 5 years and remembering all the stupid stuff people did and SP's portrayal of it. Great episode with memorable puns and jokes. This season's been really satisfying so far.

PS: I got all the shots as a child and I have to admit... I think I am a little artistic.

Trey and Matt for president

I have been a huge South Park Fan ever since they started the show and I am always stunned how they manage to stay at the front of social commentary with their minimalistic style. Like every show that is up for such a long time they had their lows but the last 2 seasons were among the best for me and this one is starting just like I hoped. These guys are one of the few voices of reason and if they see something insane they will comment on it and they mostly do it in a very creative and unique way which to me is always entertaining, even if its not always laugh out funny. To criticise that they are too political today is a weird statement after all the many seasons they already went for close to anything one could think of subject wise. What always was the problem is that people want South Park to be in "their camp" and usually they never are. I love how they kept that up against libertarians, conservatives and liberals and i love how they so often sit between all chairs and manage to show all sides to a story with their diverse set of characters.

Amidst all the insane debating of mandatory immunisation in which even libertarians sacrifice the individual right of choice to scientism this episode was a mostly needed statement and i am thrilled to see where they are taking this after that cliffhanger ending.

The thing thats most special to me on the later seasons of South Park is the complex storytelling with interweaving plots and long arcs they build over various episodes. Even though the show always stuck to its roots they keep evolving and I have nothing but respect for these guys. This episode to me was a much needed statement and i am thrilled to see where they will be taking it after that cliffhanger ending.

I Ain't Never Seen No Hog Like That
unclesamsavage11 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
While this season is becoming less appealing to me over time, I am still appreciating the new topics covered each week. Cartman running around like a pig, the ongoing gag of the episode, is very fitting and I was upset that his mom caves at the end. The anti-vax stance the Cartmans take takes a good stab at the absurdity behind the real anti-vax arguments. I appreciated the little play on words about becoming "artistic". Eric's shirt as he first comes out as a "conscience objector" also pokes fun at the 'right to body' argument many pro-choicer's push and gave me a good chuckle. I see the Tegridy Farms story as turning weaker, but seeing Randy as the egomaniac he is always excites me.

I was all ready to give 8 stars

Warning: Spoilers
I thought it started off well. Great idea of Cartman not having his shots. I was hoping Tegridy farms plot would develop into something but it didn't. Guess the wink and nod to 300 episodes/ $300,000 and nobody else caring was all it was going to be. Didn't pick up that much on the China thing as other reviews did.

Instead of the immunization shots plot line getting funnier, it went the other way. I was gonna drop from 8 to 7....but the last quarter to third was so unfunny had to go to 6.

Happy 300th episode!
ericstevenson11 October 2019
So, this is the big 300th episode. I know it would be hard to top the 200th and 201st episodes, seeing as how they were literally threatened about it. The previous episode was titled "Band In China" and it caused the show to literally be banned in China. I admit this seems underwhelming. There wasn't really anything too special done here. It was just Randy boasting about making 300 thousand dollars.

So, the plot is that Cartman refuses to get his shot and acts like a pig whenever someone wants to give him one. It's great that they talk about how important it is to get vaccines. That's definitely something kids don't want to do, but have to. I missed Mickey Mouse and the Disney characters in this. It's still funny to see Cartman act like a pig. It was fine, but not enough for a milestone celebration. ***

Weak
otter6810 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
After they hit a home run last week, South Park fouls out in this episode. Instead of political or social or religious satire, it turns into one long-running joke about Cartman acting like a greased pig to avoid his immunization shots. Cartman running around on all fours and squealing like a pig is funny the first time, but not the second, third, or fourth time. The other main cast of characters is virtually ignored, and the plot with Randy was dull and devoid of laughs. South Park could have made more points about the absurdity of anti-immunization hysteria, but they chose not to for some reason and just try for the cheap laugh. Very disappointing coming on the heels of the spectacular season premier.

Sucks!!
lsmuller767910 October 2019
South Park is by far my favorite show ever. Last week was about as good as it gets but this week was horrendous. I didn't laugh once at cartman's whole spiel and tegridy is starting to get old. Laughed at them ripping on China, that won't get old, but that's about it

lazily written, boring episode that goes nowhere
muchobliged10 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Cartman running and squealing like a pig because he doesn't want to get vaccinated is funny the first time, not when half of the episode consists of repetitions of the same joke. Then we have the B-storyline in which Randy's family is not happy with Tegrity Farm. Both plotlines go absolutely nowhere.

Wow... Had to create an account just for this episode..
Seashanties11 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Awful. The Randy side was in line but the whole cartman being able to escape EVERYONE was gutting. Wow. Such a bad empty episode. The amount of storylines or topics they could think of and do, they wasted everyone's time on this?? I'd recently rewatched lots of old episodes and this was miles behind any of them. I was a huge fan till now. Its my fault for not checking a trailer or other reviews before watching. Don't waste your time and hope things get back to best. If stuff like this keeps coming then end it now.
