Pretty goofy

This episode had a few too many moments that take the cheese and goofiness a little too far to the point it pulled me out of the action. Still enjoyable but like a ride at Disneyland, very methodical, contrived, and safe. The trip to the castle was one of those moments. The hidden room, supposedly not entered in decades (I guess) was perfectly clean with all the electricity and light bulbs working. The movie camera cued up to exactly to what they needed to see. Very distracting. Not to mention the tour guide who first held the group up for them, then who conveniently forgot them. Not great writing for that scene.

Also the confrontation at the end was silly. Once again, when our master thief is pushed into the elevator shaft and presumably dead to Farouk, instead she and Danny make as much noise as possible, so not only will Farouk know she survived but she is not alone.

So those parts were frustrating. I'm also having a little trouble keeping some of the minor characters straight so far. The time jumping and location hopping doesn't help. The one cop seems to be Superman since he went from Rome to Tripoli and back in minutes, plus the other guy's body was found and investigated so quickly, yet time barely passed for for Danny and Lexi. Like I said, goofy. You either just go with it or you don't.

I still think there's more to the priest friend than we know. There's secret group of Jesuit spies now, and Chuck is a Jesuit. At least we got a little more info on James Callis' character.

Not my favorite episode but at least things are moving along and the main characters are still likable.
