THE FILM CREW is another shot-on-video comedy effort from Chris Seaver, the man whose bad taste zero budget movies really push the boundaries of a viewer's endurance. This is as dumb and ridiculous as you'd expect, featuring employees at a movie theatre menaced by a psycho killer, and unsurprisingly it's completely without merit. And yeah, there's another guy in a rubber ape mask hanging around.
The first half an hour of this film sees a bunch of people sitting around in a room and making crude jokes. It's unwatchable, but once the action starts that's unwatchable too. The acting is way over the top and amateurish and the silly gore scenes just plain stupid. As ever, Seaver's intention seems to be to deliver literal toilet humour and you get that in spades. Of course, I hated it.
