It's hard to believe Jimmy Cliff's famous cover of I Can See Clearly Now is 30 years old, and it endures, more famously because it was on the soundtrack of the endearing and memorable movie Cool Runnings directed by Jon Turteltaub. Even though I Can See Clearly Now isn't specifically about bobsleighing per se, somehow it's association with Cool Runnings stays with us, and in many ways that's the hallmark of a soundtrack song, for example, the songs on the Top Gun soundtrack didn't recite the words top gun or the like. Anyway, three decades on, I Can See Clearly Now by Jimmy Cliff lives on init.
