Good watch

Ashawari" is a heartfelt journey into the intricacies of love, beautifully captured by director Theja Iddamalgoda in his debut film. Set against the enchanting backdrop of Sri Lanka, the movie delicately weaves together the romance between Hemal Ranasinghe and newcomer Ishatka Jahanvi, whose chemistry ignites the screen. Supported by a talented cast including Saranga Disasekara, Jayani Senanayake, and Bimal Jayakody, each character adds depth to the narrative, enriching the viewer's experience. The film's picturesque cinematography enhances the allure of the story, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the passionate tale of love, longing, and sacrifice. "Ashawari" is a captivating exploration of the human heart, leaving a lasting impression on all who venture into its world.

Typical garbage.
Morgoth_Melkor18 March 2022
One of the worst Sinhala movies ever. Story telling was done by a person who has never seen a movie. Acting was all over the place. Most of the cast can't act, they are just trying very hard. Only Bimal Jayakody acted well. Dialogues were not macthed. Ending was rushed and that makes this boring movie so forgetful. Another pile of garbage to Sinhala cinema.

This Movies is clearly Promoted by Scams
gamearchivesl4 May 2024
This movie is so bad. Additionally, they are promoting the movie by fooling people, telling them that they will be rewarded with money if they rate it highly and check the "watched" box on Google. That's how they got these ratings-only from scammed people.

Perhaps the most egregious aspect of ashawari is its blatant disregard for the audience's intelligence. Promoted through false promises and deceptive advertising, this film preys on unsuspecting viewers who deserve far better for their time and money.

In conclusion, Ashawari is an insult to the art of filmmaking and a disgrace to cinema as a whole. Avoid it at all costs, and instead, support movies that respect their audience and deliver on their promises.

The ratings for this movie must be false
tharindung10 May 2024
There is a scam going on that people are requested to click 'already watched' in google & earn cash rewards. People are added to a WhatsApp group & admin sends messages regarding the process. They send the link to the movie & people need to click the 'already watched' on google. Afterwards they asks for bank account for the reward. There are no rewards & they only need the 'already watched' count to be higher. That means a group of people are trying to elevate the ratings & views through false marketing campaign. I have not watched this movie & just wanted to inform the audience that the current ratings & good reviews must be false.

Sinhala movie Ashawari

Warning: Spoilers
Super movie Iddamalgoda is best known for his contribution in the field of advertising, contributing to nearly 800 television advertisements in his career and multiple music videos, including the music videos of Mihiraviye by Shihan Mihiranga, Amila Nadeeshani's Oba Dannawada Danne Na, Nalin Perera's Dawasakda, and many others.

Having created short form content and storytelling for well over two decades, finally Iddamalgoda's foray into feature films was born following a conversation with good friend and veteran photographer Ruwan Costa, who did the photography for this film.

Ashawari was directed and produced by Iddamalgoda and co-produced by Dr. Sanjeewani Rupasinghe, and the screenplay was done by Saddha Mangala Sooriyabandara. The film editing was by Yashodha Danupama and visual effects courtesy of Miran Damendra Perera and Praneeth Navaratne.

Bad marketing stratergy
dmlthenuka15 May 2024
I didn't watch this film, but I stumbled upon a bad marketing strategy by its production group. They're creating a WhatsApp group and asking members to click the "Want to watch" and "Already watched" buttons on Google to boost their popularity in an illegitimate way. The amusing part is they promise WhatsApp group members Rs. 900 if they send a screenshot after clicking those buttons. However, after sending the screenshot, they ask for the WhatsApp number via Telegram, remove the member from the WhatsApp group, and never send the Rs. 900. They using marketing company name called LMD internation Sri Lanka. It's unclear if the company itself is directly involved in this contract or if someone is using their name for this dubious marketing tactic. Either way, it reflects poorly on the company's reputation.

Awesome movie!!
pansilubw13 May 2024
"I loved the wildly uneven Ashawari far more than I should have, but that doesn't mean it is perfect. Ultimately, the utter awe and spectacle of Romance, adventure, action & comedy swept me through the admittedly heavy-handed plotting and dialogue." Without a doubt. Hemal and the Actress played there part with proper accuracy & well held onto their characters. Only thing i would add to the movie is abit more action, like in fast & furious maybe like jumping off a plane grabbing the girl in mid air and when the parachute doesn't work, they glide across the wilderness in search of big enough water body so they can land safely but anyway it's just my opinion. Overall great movie. Thank you😄

there is a scam going on here
savindyajayawardana13 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
How can be this cheap??? There is a scam going on here to get fake rating on this film.so cheap marketing strategy :( hemal should be refuse this type of cheap production.

In the realm of cinema, the allure of cheap marketing strategies often masks a darker reality-one where integrity and authenticity take a back seat to profit-driven schemes. This lamentable truth comes to the forefront in the case of a certain film, where whispers of a scam echo through the corridors of online discourse. Indeed, it appears that the pursuit of favorable ratings has led the producers down a treacherous path of deceit, tarnishing not only their own reputation but also implicating individuals such as Hemal in their dubious endeavors.

At the heart of this issue lies the insidious practice of fake ratings, a nefarious tactic employed by those desperate to inflate the perceived value of their cinematic creation. In an era dominated by online platforms and user-generated reviews, the allure of a high rating can be irresistible, promising increased visibility and audience engagement. However, when these ratings are artificially manipulated, they cease to serve as genuine reflections of quality and instead become hollow facades erected to deceive unsuspecting viewers.

The implications of such deceit are manifold, extending far beyond the confines of the film itself. Firstly, there is the betrayal of trust experienced by those who unwittingly fall prey to the allure of false advertising. By presenting an artificially inflated rating, the producers not only deceive potential viewers but also undermine the credibility of the entire review system. In a landscape already fraught with skepticism, such actions only serve to further erode the trust between creators and consumers.

Moreover, the involvement of individuals like Hemal adds an additional layer of complexity to the situation. As a figure with a public persona to uphold, Hemal's association with a project tainted by deceptive marketing practices threatens to tarnish his own reputation by association. While it is understandable that actors may be drawn to opportunities, they must also be cognizant of the long-term repercussions of aligning themselves with projects devoid of integrity.

Beyond the realm of individual reputations, this incident underscores broader systemic issues within the entertainment industry. The relentless pursuit of profit often comes at the expense of artistic integrity, with producers prioritizing financial gain over the creation of meaningful and authentic content. In a world where success is measured in box office receipts and online metrics, the temptation to cut corners and engage in unethical practices becomes ever more pronounced.

To address this pervasive issue, a concerted effort is required on multiple fronts. Consumers must remain vigilant and discerning, refusing to be swayed by flashy marketing tactics and instead demanding transparency and authenticity from the entertainment industry. Platforms and regulators must also play their part in combating fake ratings and holding those who engage in deceptive practices accountable for their actions.

Ultimately, the pursuit of cheap marketing strategies and fake ratings serves only to undermine the integrity of the entire film industry. By shining a light on these unethical practices and refusing to tolerate deception in any form, we can work towards a future where integrity and authenticity are valued above all else. In doing so, we honor the art of cinema and uphold the trust of audiences worldwide.
