The Guilty (2021)
Although the story can make you wonder...
Although the story can make you wonder till the end, it is indeed watchable thanks to Jake Gyllenhaal. Despite it is a mediocre Hollywood remake, Jake had shown an insane performance which makes it worth to watch.
Uysallar (2022)
Very artistic, creative and cinematic but is it really enough?
The plot may appear to be promising, but it is not... They had, in my opinion, overlooked the main point of the story by excessively focusing on visual work. I mean, they did not include a simple heroic step (points) for Oktay and other characters proceeded very slowly-indeed, one could argue that there was no sign of character development. Do you think I am exaggerating? Then only watch the first and last two episodes; you will not miss anything (except very groovy angles, athmosphere, and desing.)
In addition, the intentions to depict skewed social dynamics and oppression (even ostracism) in certain scenes touched me, but those are just brief moments.
The Grandmother (1970)
Truly disturbing and provocative
Truly loved the images and the feelings it aroused in me. The most disturbing (!) part, in my opinion, was the representation of social yokes and dictates in the eyes of a kid.
Kulüp (2021)
Truly touching!
I waited so long to rate this series, and the second part of the series completed the story. I deem it was thankfully published as two separate parts; as it successfully conveyed the cascading process of how things (the political environment) altered (though not changed at all.)
End note: Wish such things had never happened and we have never lost our values.
The Witcher (2019)
It does not get anywhere!
I still enjoy seeing Geralt and the world, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to keep me watching another 8 one-hour episodes that don't get anywhere, neither in episodes nor in general.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Could have been better!
It was good to see all of them together, although the scenario was a great bump for me. We had a great example of such a thing like 3 years ago, namely Spiderman: into the spider verse. The hype and all the memories from the previous spidey's made this film good-I should also add the marvellous performance of Tom Holland-but the rest did not catch me that much. Sorry, I wished to.
Somebody should have ushered Tobby to the set of a late-night show, that much I did not like his performance.
The Father (2020)
Speechless!
Mr Hopkins will get his award for sure after such a good acting. Second of all, the visual production was amazing! First half hour of the movie I have found myself at struggling to figure out the design of the house; the objects were constantly changing as well as the places of rooms (even it did not, they succeed to deceive me right there) and I completely felt the same as Anthony. It gives you a chance to identify with the main character, so that was really good attempt and a directorial success.
Shiny_Flakes: The Teenage Drug Lord (2021)
How to sell drugs online (fast)
The most entertaining documentary I have watched so far.
Max is a genius, he is pretending like he does not care anything, but I believe he intents to convince people to he will not get entangled any further trouble.
Once again, I genuinely liked the documentary and recommend it.
Biohackers (2020)
Surrounded by over exaggerated and cliche things, but still entertaining
I found the things, for example, characters, environments, over exaggerated and meaningless; as I am about to end first season but cannot say either it is 'nowhere-based fiction' or 'somewhere-likely fiction'. This, all along the season, interfere me to have an empathy or be amazed.
Regardless of all these, the series is average but utterly watchable and enjoyable.
The Forever Purge (2021)
Waste of time and money!
I regret going this movie on theater. Previous series, however, lacking parts, were mesmerizing us by the idea of 'what if'? Delineating emotions were always lacking but it was trivial as long as made us think what would we do in such a situation. All the action and idea (of purging) have been left out in this one and turned it into a 100+ mins long cacophony.
Everything could have been better either with reflecting emotions or having proper action scenes. I hope this will be the end of this series; since it goes nowhere.
Batman: Hush (2019)
To whom have not read the comic...
I have not read the comic as well, but I enjoyed the animation. Tbh, I like Batman animations more and find them better compared to movies (except Nolan's) as Batman, in animations, looks like what is supposed to be.
Anyway, back to the 'Batman: Hush', unlike comic readers, you just have fun, and enjoy seeing villains and superheroes around. That is, if you are not obsessed with adaptation problems- which I have seen here- it is not going to shake you down.
Note: Hey you (!), who read the comic, do not batter me. I am just an ordinary viewer and I utterly understand your complaints but this animation is aimed for general audience, I guess.
Yesilçam (2021)
Kind and charming
I will talk about neither plot, nor production but I will sum it up with one sentence "Yesilcam is the best Cagatay Ulusoy series which released in any digital platform so far."
Invincible (2021)
It was dope
I saw the invincible for the first time and now I'm looking forward to read all comics. Plus, I can't wait to watch other seasons, I'm all in man.
Nomadland (2020)
Inspiring
It showed me a different perspective of living and surviving.
Kagittan Hayatlar (2021)
Great Acting and Ending
I really liked the ending but until that point plot bored me time to time, and I felt like why I am seeing these things; especially I would like to witness how it feels to be a paper collector but it was a lacking point and far from being real (in my opinion). Regardless of these excuses, the ending was truly touching. I recommend you to take a glimpse.
Kelebegin Rüyasi (2013)
Striking...
A film dedicated to whom has been forgotten... I recommend you to not reading its topic nor whomever it's bestowed to, it'll be more striking. I really enjoyed and sad for watching it that much late.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Waste of time...
Apparently, WW is slightly getting off topic in every area it promises; there was not any super hero, not 84 vibe (except first thirty min) . I do not want to see their romance all the movie long, it was in balance in the first one. All axe of the story had been designed and written upon the Steve. Let this death guy Remain in Peace! I bet if this one has worked, they would have summon him again in the next movie somehow.
Imawa no Kuni no Arisu (2020)
The idea is good
Where everything had started was pretty catchy to be honest, but everything loses its reality with each episode. I did not like the acting that much and some of the dialogs made me laugh due to nonsense.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
This is what STAR WARS should be...
I watched it an hour ago and I still have goosebumps. Thank you for creating an unforgettable scene in my life.
Alef (2020)
Excellent...
The show is excellent in many ways like scenes, places, make ups. However, the story line is not attractive much compared to the handled story is still catchy. Give a try but don't rush.
Messiah (2020)
Must to watch
Nice cast, nice script but the tempo of the episodes weren't good at all. Whether they created season 1 as a pilot season (each ten episode) cuz I still don't know why we've watched daily struggles of Eva. I think series try to point out similarities of our lives even it seems totaly different. Also, don't look who gave zero or below the 5: The series doesn't care whether you belive or not, but defining the general problem of present and what would happen if the messiah (!) revive.
Luchshe, chem lyudi (2018)
Not perfect but better than you think
I had some question marks and doubts on it but I liked the atmosphere and universe that they've tried to create. Worth to watch.
When They See Us (2019)
One word SHOCKING
As a matter of a fact I did not expect to face something like this. Actings were impressive, story had processed fair enough. Even thougt Trump fans won't like it much.
