Wow. What happened to Wesley?
17 August 2008
I got this movie thinking it was going to be as good as the the first. Wow was I surprised to see how WRONG I was. The first Art of War was a good movie. The story line was good. Camera action was on point. Directing was good. Acting was OK. Now this movie was missing all of that. The camera shots looked like the camera man didn't know how to use the camera. He kept on moving pass the shot he wanted, then kept going back to the original shot. Camera kept jumping. Don't know if they meant to do that or not. Directing could of been better. The script could of been so much better. They should of re-read the script before they shot. If you guys want to see a good Art of War, watch the original

Great heist movie

This movie had it all. A great cast. A good director. And a good story line. Denzel does it again in this movie. He comes out with the kind of acting that has made him a house hold name. His supporting cast helps the movie role right along. Clive Owen plays the kind of thief every other movie looks for in their movie. He is calm cool and collective the whole way. He will be if he is not now going to be a house hold name also. He needs a couple of movies like this to get him there. This movie was well written. It takes you from beginning to middle to end without skipping a beat. This is a must watch. You will certainly like it. I really don't want to say much about the movie because I want you to enjoy it. Its a good film. The actors give it their all and the camera work is great. Way to go Spike Lee.

It was a good sci-fi film
13 July 2006
This movie was both entertaining, comedic and action filled. Bruce Willis does it again in film. He takes a character and brings it to life like only a true actor could. He gives you that comedic side that he has done in the past. But he also brings out what he is known for and that is his action kick butt side. His role was awesome. Milla Jovovich...Wow. She looked....Wow. Then of course you got Gary Oldman who has been a great actor in what ever movie he does. To have that kind of star power in a movie and make it work is hard to do. Then you got the comedy of Chris Tucker. He added that other side of humor that fitted nicely in this film. It was shot well. The script was good. The plot made sense. The movie was great.

Part one and two are a lot better than part three
13 July 2006
This movie, in my opinion, was a waste of film. The movie did not bring you into the corleone family like the other two did. This movie lacked a good script. The actors were in place but they had no direction. Al Pacino's character really didn't do it for me in this one. In part part one and two, Micheal corleone was a man that everyone feared. In part three it looked like if he didn't belong. It couldn't be because of the age he plays in the movie because Don Corleone in the first Godfather was still the man. This movie made a mockery of what Micheal Corleone should of been. Talia Shire's character had more guts than that of Al Pacinos. Andy Garcia over acted in some scenes. Other scenes he did good. Sofia Coppola was not a big help in the movie either. The only time she didn't seem to whine and act like a baby was when she was not in the scene. This movie could of been a lot better if they would of taken their time and had the same passion that they had for the first two Godfather's. Its a shame that this film has to be mentioned with the first two which were masterpieces of cinema.

This movie could of been better
13 July 2006
This movie was kind of weak. I think the movie was missing that little something that would keep our attention. But it lacked that. The good parts was the gore. It sounds kind of nasty, but its true. Eli Roth had a good idea with this movie. But he could of done different things to add that little something that would keep our attention on the movie. The acting was OK. Jay Hernandez does a great job on a mediocre script. That tends to happen a lot in movies. This is a ONE TIME movie. Which means that you watch the movie ONCE and thats it. Its not like other movies that you can watch over and over. Good luck to Eli on writing and shooting part two. I will admit, I am waiting for it to come out. Hopefully I will enjoy this one.
