Simply put, this film is not what I expected. There was mediocre acting, mediocre directing, and obviously a very mediocre budget.

And as far as the director rant in the comments, the comments are designed for people with an opinion ABOUT THE FILM, not about how people are watching it. Your personal bias is one that none of us are interested in.

Additionally, your logical fallacy of comparing downloading a movie over the internet to stealing a car and returning it is one of the dumbest, most less thought out comparisons I have ever heard. Not only is there no logic to that statement but I actual give you less credit as a producer and human being for having floated that comment out there in the first place.

If you want a "seen it a million times" film, check it out.

After reading some of the early reviews for the movie on this website, I went into it with some fairly low expectations. However, by the film's end, I had a different take.

This story is by no means original in its plot or take. If you're looking for an original war film, look elsewhere. A lot of this movie is very clichéd but that's not to say that it's a bad thing. This movie is mainly an after-the-war film, so those looking for a true war movie need not look here. This film focuses heavily on the psychological aspects of war and the damage war can do to the human psyche.

The material in this movie is very realistic. I think the film accurately portrays the struggle of soldiers returning home from Iraq and serves as an eye-opener for people who do not know what it's like to be "over there." Be it as it may, the subject matter is a little slow but very, very sad and powerful at it's core. PTSD seems to be an overlooked area of soldiers returning from war, and I think this movie shines a lot of light on the importance of offering psychological support.

I would recommend this movie to anyone interested in the politics of the war or the war in particular. There is some very good material in the movie, the acting was not superb but still well-done nonetheless, and the message isn't biased like one may have expected.

If anyone is weary of seeing this movie due to "50 Cent's" role in the film, you really needn't be concerned. 50 Cent's role is fairly limited in the movie and his acting isn't nearly as bad as the reviews would have you believe, though you can tell he has a ways to go when you look at the other polished members of the mostly-veteran cast.

First of all, this is a low-budget movie, so my expectations were incredibly low going into it. I assume most people looking at the info for this movie just wanted a bloodfest, and essentially that's all it is.

Plot? There really is none. It's basically Saw but in China and a whole hell of a lot worse. Cast? There is none, period. Special Effects? Absolutely awful in my opinion... There were cutaways and the blood was often completely unbelievable because of amounts, splatter, color, texture, etc.

I believe the purpose of this movie was supposed to be a brutal, shock film. Now it had some great potential on a bigger budget but poor scripting, poor dialogue, awful acting, what seemed like camcorder video shots, and just plain unbelievable "gore," made this movie truly awful.

There are movies worth taking a chance against some reviews, even "b-rate" movies deserve some opportunities (blood trails for example was the most recent I saw against reviews that was worth it), but this was simply awful. I hope that people considering this movie read my comment and decide against it.

I'm all for brutality and shock, but the overall unrealism and truly awful acting makes for an awful experience. Save your time/money and chance something else, you won't be disappointed.

I had high hopes for this movie, mainly because of the cast listing. Jack Black does an amazing job outside of comedy and digs deep for a believably charming character. The whole cast acted incredibly but I was there as a Jack Black fan.

The movie was indeed a great date movie. The premise for the movie, two very different people switching lives and falling in love in opposite worlds, made for an original and fun ride. Nothing about this film seemed forced or rushed and all of the characters seemed to have a very natural on-screen chemistry.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a funny, romantic, and original film. Jack Black does incredibly outside of his typical genres and finds a home here. Great movie.

As many of you may have gathered from the movie trailer, this movie was intended to be more of a drama than a comedy but the right twists of humor were able to keep fans of both genres interested. Will Farrell had some very excellent acting and most viewers would've sympathized right off the bat.

The movie was interesting, well-acted, intelligent, quirky, funny, and very original. This is nearly a must see for any fans of writing or just Farrell fans in general. This movie was actually a welcome break from the stupid humor of teenage comedies that Farrell frequently brings to the screen.

My two cents, well worth admission and I would rent when it hits DVD. An excellent movie overall, though my only gripe (without a spoiler) would be that I wish the "narrarator" had stuck to her guns and kept it a true tragedy, though who could blame her in the end.
