Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Definitely worth the watch
Interesting plot with an anxiety enducing tone. While I think the show declines a bit in quality towards the end, it's still a series I very much enjoyed.
Fourth Man Out (2015)
Cute, simple film. Would recommend you watch with some friends
Pretty typical adult comedy, better that a lot of others I've seen. The scenes are heartfelt and goofy, which puts it above its contemporaries. Doubt I'll watch it again, however. Nothing too special.
Ratatouille (2007)
Best Pixar movie I've seen.
The scene where Ego takes a bite of the ratatouille and has a flashback of his mother making him food is one of the best scenes in any movie. Animation is pretty, music fits the aesthetic of the film, the story is much more real and feels more personal and charecter driven than other Pixar films.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Amazing visuals and an inspiring story
The animation in this movie is so good I would actually watch it even if the plot and story were garbage. I enjoy the story, and I think the dialouge between charecters is really funny and the voice actors have great delivery. Soundtrack is 100% bangers and perfectly matches the tone of the film as well.
BoJack Horseman (2014)
I will never forget this show.
This show has genuinely changed my life. I have laughed more times than I can count to this show, both during the show and remembering it later. Watching this has helped me understand my own trauma and depression, and helped me understand people around me. I could probably talk about this show for hours, love it to death. Greatest show I have ever seen.
Gisaengchung (2019)
I can't think of a single negative aspect to this movie
This movie is both hilarious and thought-provoking. The premise gives the movie a lot of opportunity for humor as well as a tool to talk about class warfare.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Best Netflix Original, Hands Down
Anna Taylor Joy plays Beth so well, and her development is so well developed that I was cheering at the screen at points. Music is super expressive too, really makes the scenes more exciting.
Black Swan (2010)
Cinematography and presentation is top notch
The emotion in this movie is very visceral. This film made me genuinely anxious and the atmosphere of the scenes depicting self harm and where Nina is high / performing create such a suffocating feeling, for me anyway.
Pit Stop (2013)
The most realistic depiction of the gay American experience I've ever seen
This movie is slow-paced and not very eventful, I believe it's value comes from the emotion of the performances and unabashed realism of the story. Probably not for everyone but I love this movie. Made me feel seen.
Kimi no na wa. (2016)
Beautiful Story, Soundtrack and Animation
This is by far the most gorgeous movies I have ever seen. The backgrounds are do lively and I don't think I've ever seen the Kuchikamazake Trip scene without tearing up.
Lady Bird (2017)
Deserved it's nomination
Acting was great and the story will definitely resonate with some people. I don't find it relatable personally, but I still really like this story.
Isle of Dogs (2018)
Beautiful Animation, Powerful Story
If you love stopmotion definitely give it a watch, there's a ton of sequences that are super fun to cool animation-wise. I think the development of the two leads and their relationship is very heartwarming.
