The Assistant (2019)
Nothing Happens
This was a complete waste of time, a terrible film, the acting wasn't bad, everything was good except for the plot and an actual storyline. This is all part of the #MeToo movement and it just does a terrible job of trying to make males look like they are bad people and women to be these weak individuals who can't take care of themselves. Don't waste your time with this film.
Abducted in Plain Sight (2017)
Most Gullible Parents of ALL TIME!
These parents are absolutely oblivious to what "B" is doing to their daughter and how he is manipulating them to be part of his big scheme and they fall for it hook line and sinker, these are some of the stupidest parents I've ever seen.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
Just A Total Waste of Time
You're not going to get any real information about Richard Ramirez or what he was doing or how he committed his murders from this documentary, it just drags on talking about the police officers and people involved and how it effected them, and they add a bunch of noise and sound effects to give it a "scary" feel but it just doesn't work. Very disappointing and boring documentary that didn't need to be made, although I would love one about Richard Ramirez and something actually exciting.
Enemy (2013)
Great Acting, Story Goes Nowhere
First off, the acting is great, that's about the only positive thing about this film. The story is about a history teacher who watches a movie and discovers an actor in the movie who looks identical to him, he seeks him out and eventually they meet. This is when it gets bad. The way they react when they meet is not how anyone would react if they met someone that looked identical to them, and the movie just drags on and on leaving you with no answers and all this symbolic stuff with ambiguous meanings, so in the end, you really get nothing out of it.
The Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Still An All Time Classic
I saw this movie for the first time as a 7 year old, maybe younger, in the early 1990's and it was an amazing experience for a kid my age. I remember the sounds, the colors, the shapes, everything about the animation and the audio brings me back to that place. The soundtrack by Vince DiCola is fantastic and has not aged a day. What I really love about this movie is that is does not have that "dated" feel at all, every time I have watched it as an adult it still impresses and intrigues me. The voice of Unicron played by Orson Wells is really a treasure as he passed away shortly after the film was released. The new Transformers movies have nothing on this classic. The 1986 Animated Transformers movie inspired kids all over the world and provided awesomeness to everyone who ever watched it.
Unfriended (2014)
Fantastic Film For Internet Nerds
For anyone who is an internet nerd and loves going on forums and chatting and is in tune with the internet culture, this movie is hysterically accurate and really fun to watch. There is a lot going on in this movie, you can't multitask and follow the story, no, you have to focus and learn the names of the characters and about the drama that is going on between them all. It's very easy to get interested in this movie once it starts rolling, and I really enjoyed it.
Being: Mike Tyson (2013)
Very Inspirational And Moving Introspective Look At Life In Mikes Own Words
I have been a Mike Tyson fan for a long time, but I always knew his public perception wasn't all that positive and it bothered me. I am from Brooklyn and had a similar upbringing and similar struggles in my life, so obviously I relate to him and that a big part of why I'm a fan of his. But he never made it easy for people to like him with his behavior in interviews, inside the ring in the 2nd Holyfield fight, and his battles with drug addiction and crime. However he has seemed to come full circle and show that he is a good human being with good intentions who was thrown into the fire way too young and surrounded by people who took advantage of him and left him to die without caring. I really enjoyed every episode and think anyone who wants some wisdom about life should check it out.
The Grey (2011)
Outstanding Movie
This movie deserves 9/10. Outstanding camera work and sensational scenery. This movie seemed to have multiple climaxes and the ending was exactly what it should have been, which is why it gets 9/10. The plane crash scene was excellent and is superior to the one in Castaway in every shape or form. Liam does his thing as usual and is the alpha male in this film, a role he is unmatched in.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes intellectual thrillers, "man movies" and movies that have no romance. There are some touching scenes of reflection but for the most part this movie is as raw as nature itself.
