The Prestige (2006)
9/10
awesome movie
18 January 2014
The prestige is awesome. I have to say this is one of the best movies i have seen. You couldn't ever imagine what will happen in every scene because we must think a little bit hard. This movie has a lot of secrets. I love one sentence in this movie. "Now you're looking for the secret... but you won't find it because you're not really looking. You don't really want to know the secret... You want to be fooled. " The acting from all actors, especially Alfred Borden(Christian Bale) & Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) are very good, they compete each other to prove who is the best magician and make a new trick in every scene. I think the prestige is one of Nolan's best movies.

Elite Squad (2007)

Fantastic movie

It's the best police movie I've ever seen.

It'so realistic, specially the shots. The scene was also perfect!

Basically the movie describes the fight between drug dealers and corrupt cops against the good police officers, some of them from the military police force and most of them from BOPE. Although it shows how the corruption of the Military Police Force works out in Brazil, how the system is used against itself and makes everything so difficult that it's almost impossible for honest people to deal with their own personal issues without dealing with corruption. And by the way, that's entirely true. The scene that i like very much is when Captain Nascimento interrogates people. The camera and editing are great, and the actors gave their best action. Two thumbs up...

excellent horror movie

First of all this was a good movie.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose is based upon a true story, the events that lead up to the death of Emily Rose. The real person who inspired this movie was Anneliese Michel. Emily Rose was a young college student, who believed she was possessed. Her family and her pastor did everything they could to save her. The story wasn't overly predictable. It was a look back on what exactly happened when Emily Rose got possessed and how it ended. the Priest, Father Moore was help by an agnostic lawyer, Erin Bruner and her trying to not only get ahead in her career but convince a journey that medical science could not determine. Emily Rose had a medical condition but a demonic possession. But the prosecutor, Ethan Thomas was a devout catholic and against the priest, Father Moore. The dynamics between the key characters is interesting and well thought out.

Dredd (2012)

Dredd
13 January 2013
I know Dredd when i was play the game at elementary school. At the glance, Dredd looks like The Raid Redemption, but it is different because The Raid is fast paced mixed martial arts flick in a building where a bunch of cops were killed by mafia gang where as in Dredd movie, same plot follows in gigantic Peach Trees housing complex in very advanced high technology style and I am sure many people will love this action. Dredd is such a great character because he executes bad guys and he is incorruptible, and will always fight for what he believes is right, despite the danger of doing it. If it is right or not, the movie leaves to the audience. Karl Urban is excellent as Dredd. His voice is pretty much how I've imagined Dredd to sound for 25 years and his lip curls and jaw acting are fantastic. The rookie Anderson was played by Olivia Thirlby and again, she was excellent. I feel Anderson is a bit touchy feely but here her vulnerabilities added to the character and in truth it's really her film by way of character development. Overall I like this movie.

there's something about Mary
13 January 2013
I guess some people thinking about this movie ever happened at their high school or college, when we like a girl and then lost her for a long time. This movie is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I'm surprised they aren't going to make a sequel. I mean it made a lot of money and it was very good. Ben Stiller was just hilarious. My favorite scene is probably the zipper scene. The rest was also really funny like when the dog gets drugged and can't wake up.Cameron Diaz was sensational and generally brightens the world just by smiling. The story line is sweet, and funny, but it wasn't what I expected. Overall, this film was enjoyable and I wouldn't mind seeing it a second time.

Aliens (1986)
10/10
good movie
27 November 2012
i vote 10 for this movie because it was amazing movie in 1986. i couldn't imagine the director could make that movie in that era because the technology looked very good and amazing. i watched two movie others made by James Cameron like Titanic and avatar, but they made in 1997 and 2009. The acting is good especially from Sigourney Weaver, Paul Reiser(as Carter Burke) and Lance Henriksen (as the robot). Sigourney's Ripley is such a strong woman, that even put shame to men (somehow I feel this is quite unbelievable, because she has got so much energy, especially the scene where she gets back to the Alien's Queen hatch to save Newt and fought the Alien's Queen alone with the machine. The sound and set earned them two well-deserved Oscars. the special effect was very good too. Overall this movie is very good.

The Exorcist (1973)
scariest movie
27 November 2012
"The Exorcist" is the scariest horror movie i ever seen. The storyline of the movie was also good. The special effects were good, example of that is, the scene where Regan comes down the stairs like a spider and her head could rotate 180 degrees. The film was very good constructed and formed for that time, it was a new type of genre in the film industry, the beginning of horror in the film history and still is one of the best horror films ever made. We get a good impression of how it happened and we can really find ourself in the movie. The film maker wanted the people to really think about the film and used good techniques for this. He gave the characters a lot of emotion and made the movie sad in some aspects, of course the main sad part is about Regan, but also father Karras is very sad because he lost his mother. This made the movie better and it helped to keep the watcher's attention throughout the film. Overall this film is good.

worst movie
27 October 2012
I think this is the worst movie i have watched. What is even sadder is that the movie started out great. The farm scene is up there with Tarantino's best offerings. But I really like the characters of Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt)and Hans Landa ( Christoph Waltz) those are quite good. But the others i didn't think so, for example Adolf Hitler killed in a movie theater, it was not true. This is an awful film by any standards and is a very poor offering from Tarantino. No one who watched the movie and is not making money off of it could possibly give it more than one star. This is a bad film. One of the few films where I have actually hated myself for enduring it.

really bad
20 October 2012
I really love ice age movie sequels. I have seen all the sequels from the first movie until the last, but this sequel (Ice Age: Continental Drift) is not as good as the first or the third sequel. I am really disappointed, because i was laughing so hard throughout the previous sequels. Of course some parts of the plot were crazy and ridiculous, but the movie is not supposed to make any sense. Being a big pirates of the Caribbean fan, I was glad they also incorporated pirates into this movie. Overall, maybe this movie is suitable for child under 10. The visual effect isn't really good & the story isn't too. Hopefully, ice age 5 will be much better than this.

True Grit (2010)
7/10
awesome movie
20 October 2012
I haven't seen any western movie before. But I really enjoyed the movie. The acting from Jeff Bridges is excellent as the aged US Marshall Rooster Cogburn. I think the movie mainly describes about Mattie Ross (Steinfeld) who hires someone to hunt down the murderer of her father one Tom Chaney (Brolin), her acting is pretty good for a little girl. The acting from Matt Damon as Texas ranger LaBoeuf is not bad. Overall, this movie describes to us a different thing about western movie. The visual appearance of this movie is great. It has the setting that the places in that time setting would have. You feel like you were actually watching something that could be from that time era instead of a modern movie. The movie was very well done
