This Episode is a Masterpiece

Not every day you find an extraordinary moment in your life. Not every month and sometimes even in years. But I can't remember a more deeply touching and profound moment in Television than this episode. Just watch it and let it in.

Mindless NOT Entertainment.
8 January 2021
Let's face it. Comedy Cinema is completely dead. Maybe is just too local comedy because I can't find any reason for the existence of this film. I'm so sorry for those who put heart and soul in making it. They all deserved at least something good. Time, talent and money completely wasted. Sorry but run away from this one as hard as you can.

A True Hidden Gem for Connoisseurs
30 September 2020
Astonishingly relevant these days. Intelligent, surprising, witty, deep, funny and dark at times. The most elegant / meaningful black comedy I've seen recently. Not for blockbuster audiences. Only one question remains after seeing this film. Do you really want a world like that one? If the answer is NO then now is the time to say it loud.

A True Hidden Gem
19 October 2017
There is not much to say here. This is an awesome film. Light but profound at the same time. Unpretentious. Funny but heart felted. Beautifully crafted.

A True Hidden Gem.

I hope you can see this one with an open heart. You won't regret it.

Great Documentary Film!
5 September 2017
Right on the spot.

Dreams have no brand. A Humane and heart felted documentary. A never surrender lesson. A triumph over corporations and big motor companies.

The hell with racing tech and progress and all that bull we always have to see in this kind of documentaries.

This one is about people fighting for their dreams. The way it should be.

One of the worst scripts I've ever seen.
29 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It is quite simple.

Any even mediocre biologist that somehow manage to revive a micro organism taken from the lifeless and hostile atmosphere of mars knows that this poses an immediate 50 percent chance of a threat for mankind.

Why? Because this organism is impossible to kill.

Why it was dormant? You have to assume immediately the possibility that it killed all life that could've possibly existed in mars long ago.

So? So, that's why in this kind of biological research safety protocols are extreme.

What should've happen? 1.- After knowing the organism revives, the first test should've been place it in direct contact with the lab rat.

2.- Obviously after the evident attack reaction of the organism to the lab rat, to separate the science pod from the ISS.

3.- Incinerate the pod 4.- Blow the pod as far as possible with the most potent weapon we have.

5.- If none of that works, THEN you have a space horror script.

I'm really sorry but I get quite upset every time people thinks audiences are stupid.

It's unbelievable that we had even a CDC supervisor in the crew and never gave a real order or activate an emergency security protocol.

After films like "War of the Worlds" (1953), "The Andromeda Strain" (1971), Alien (1979), or all hard sci-fi novels existent about first contact with alien organisms, you just can't take this kind of ingenuity in a sci-fi script.

I'm just so sorry for all the really talented people who participated in this film. They don't deserve this kind of really terrible scripts.

Not bad at all...
1 May 2013
The plot is quite simple but powerful. It is intelligent from the beginning trying to show you very little as the movie goes along. I was very surprised with acting in general, cinematography, art, editing and music. But perhaps the thing I liked the most is all references to Area 51, and conspiracy theories. From EVE to Genesis project, and quoting the Soviet Union paranormal experiments during the cold war which, now we know, were actually real, at least in their intent. I also enjoyed the several classic science fiction movies homages like James Cameron's "Aliens", Roger Donaldson's "Species", the Resident Evil games and even Steve Barker's "Outpost" if you want, and some others. Perhaps the main issue that generates dislike is the lack of dynamic and rhythmic editing during the 2nd part of the film. The climax to be precise. Nevertheless I think it is a good film for those hardcore science fiction fans that are always searching for new productions.

Frankly, an excellent film!
4 June 2009
I must say that this film was a great surprise, not only because of my personal taste for sci-fi / fantasy flicks, but because this production is flawless.

I believe Howard McCain is set to be a true revelation as film maker and screen writer. There is no single bad moment in all the film.

Great work in photography and editing make of this film a visual accomplishment.

James Caviezel, John Hurt and Ron Perlman performances are excellent.

All FX are achieved, and the score by Geoff Zanelli is one to remember.

Maybe is something that we all have seen before, but never with this kind of achievement.

For all sci-fi / fantasy fans, this one is a MUST!

Fantastic Film! In the search for the new Ridley Scott!
28 October 2008
I've recently seen a lot of crappy movies. Exaggerated, with terrible screenplays, but I'm really amazed by this one! The Pang brothers did a very good job with this remake! You can remember the good old days of Ridley Scott's Black Rain. I must say the the photography is fantastic!, and even with Nicolas Cage, the film is great! I must also say that all the Thai cast is amazing! I f you did not like this movie, maybe is because you actually like Spiderman 3....I can understand that, but that is very sad. I completely recommend this film for all the REAL cinema fans! By the way, great job from Brian Tyler! Fantastic score!

Incredible visual work, but content is extremely dull!!!!!
29 March 2007
Perhaps the visuals in this film are the most incredible I've ever seen. The battle sequences are extremely impressive, and the way the film show us the utilization of the famous Greek phalanx in war is brilliant. Unfortunately, the script is very dull. By using a voice off, you can observe that they try to keep in the dark the problems in the script. There are also several problems due to the intention of making a pure visual film in some scenes. And in one case in particular you can observe more than one sun, only to achieve several counter sun shots in the same scene, of course,..... All the acting is quite good but sometimes the voices of some characters are overacted. I must say that there are many sequences of the film that are taken literally from other movies. The way Leonidas is killed is exactly the same we can see in Jet Lee's Hero. And of course there are many moments of Ridley Scot's Gladiator in the film. The music is correct and in some moments very impressive. But other than that I was very disappointed. Is very sad to say that Oliver Stone's Alexander is a better film.
