This movie doesn't focus on a layered story or complex characters rather than exploring one particular conflict and message. For this demonstrative nature, I think it is too long and too repetitive, but man it has some powerful scenes and truly great acting, and also the ending was brilliant.

Extraordinary acting and many moving moments in a movie that seems not so sure of what it wants to be because it shifts so often between many different tones, stories and messages and isn't able to bring one of them to an satisfying end.

The basic story with its characters is nothing special, but the directing, acting, cinematography, soundtrack, action and suspense is all so great, that it still takes this movie to another, very stylized level

Another example of a movie with average characters, story and depth. But it comes of as so suspenseful, so well acted, so fantastically scored and so beautifully filmed, that I'd call it a pretty great movie.

A pretty well shot movie with a great soundtrack and fantastic acting which, despite it's runtime, manages it to be extremely entertaining because of the fast pacing and extremely bizarre dialogue, but I also found it to be a rather tragic but beautiful movie about regret, guilt and forgiveness but also about the nature of love and life

And I can't really ask for more.

I think it can be a bit fast at times and the basic character arc and message isn't really something new. But other than that I found it to be pretty exciting, emotional and funny. And oooh boy the biggest selling point is by far the animation. Not only is it a kind of style I have never seen before, in terms of colors and shot composition it absolutely nails it and is extremely beautiful to look at. So in my opinion it might be a liiittle overhyped, but it's still pretty great.

Yes, I think it is: The cinematography is actually decent, the soundtrack is sweet, the acting is pretty great, it has the right amount of self awareness, it can be hilarious at times but emotional at others, and while other movies have this one particularly entertaining scene, there are SO many fantastic scenes in it, and, you know, Ryan Gosling is the man

-Damn -Damn -Damn -As a movie I'm not sure what I think of it but as someone who watched the first Captain America movie in theatres back in 2011 and followed these characters ever since, I am more than overwhelmed and pretty satisfied -But l also think this movie doesn't make too much sense -Maaaaybe just a few too many jokes -Huge respect that they managed to have soooo many awesome moments in this movie and also giving a nice conclusion to so many storylines from previous movies -To enjoy Infinity War and this movie you pretty much have to see the other MCU movies and that's an obvious thing but it also bugs me a little bit because I usually say every movie should stand in its own feet -I can't decide if fanservice is a good thing but if it isn't well sooo many unneccessary moments but if it is sooo many fantastic moments -Will there ever be a movie with more fanservice? -Captain Marvel seems a bit overpowered but I don't hate Brie Larson but I should also see Captain Marvel -Acting and cinematography was pretty neat and I like the Avengers Theme -Will there ever be a movie with more famous actors in it? -The last song during the end credits was something new and I kinda liked it -First time I experienced an audience clapping -The finale was not more than, but the definiton of "overwhelming" -Even though I have to say, I am not too satisfied with how the action-sequence from an action and structural standpoint was done -I knew it! -Again: As a dude who loves movies in general I don't know how good this was but as dude who likes these movies it was pretty amazing and one of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen -Will there ever be a bigger movie?

-Woah the cinematography is really stylish -For someone who doesn't want to be in the business anymore, a dog was a fairly small reason to kill a little more than just a few dudes -Woah the soundtrack is pretty cool too -Pretty sure getting hit by a car means not using your legs for a while -Woah the whole atmosphere is so Neo-Noir-ish and I like it! -Soooo, everyone is an assassin now? -Ok the suit up scene is gold -Am I really suppose to feel for this dude? -Damn these action-sequences are once again exceptionally well done -Of course I'm confronting John Wick with a knife when I have a gun -Man but he has some pretty cool moves -I know John Wick is the g but HOW IS HE INDESTRUCTIBLE AND NO ONE EVER KILLS HIM

My thoughts during this movie

From what everyone was saying I got the impression that there are a lot of great monster action scenes, but the human side of things is just boring and horrible written. But I found all the human stuff actually not that bad, but also the monster scenes not that great. There were a) not too many of them (Before the final fight there were like three one minute long action sequences and a few monster sightings and b) They weren't that exciting because it cut way too often to the humans, not bad by any means (fantastic monster designs, special effects and sound design) but "only" nice fun. And that's what the film was too me: nice fun

If the action would have been as great, as the nicely structured story, the intriguing acting, the cool moments throughout, the thoughtful meanings and neat visuals I think this would have been a truly fantastic movie. Still great though

On the second viewing I found myself not enjoying it as much as I watched it the first time, because while I still think the concept and many other aspects are brilliant, I think it has many little issues (some action scenes and plot holes for instance) But this was the movie which kinda made me having such a huge interest in movies and their making. So I think it will always have a special place in my heart...

You kinda get me with this whole "Nice comedy but also some emotional stuff in it" thing, and the strong acting and whole scenario made it all the more watchable

Well shot, nice action, strong acting and some neat scenes in general. But it also has many scenes which felt like they were just there to stretch the whole thing (especially two scenes between the poker game) and I honestly found the romance part in this movie to be extremely cringey..

This was way too long, the CGI wasn't that good, so many scenes that shouldn't be in the movie in my opinion, and the entire first half had no interesting or fresh and memorable scenes. What I think makes this movie still a watchable one is the chemistry, the interesting themes and the last 35 minutes.

Even if this sounds super pretentious, I think it wasn't that hard to make this a good movie. Put some kind of meta-level in there, don't take yourself so serious in every scene of this movie (there are times in this movie where the serious tone was right but so many scenes could have been a little bit more lighthearted and not so try hard heavy) and have "better" music, so this doesn't look like a music video (I'm looking at you, boat scene).

I think this movie achieved almost perfectly what it was going for. My problem is, that I don't like what it was going for. This whole style of the movie feels so choreographed and unnatural, and I know this is part of the comedy, but it just kept me from really connecting to it. But it actually got better with its run-time.

Nice cinematography, fitting soundtrack, convincing performances, awesome ending, quite suspenseful, interesting and smart. But I felt that the dialogue could have been more subtle, the first half was slightly repetitive and it also had some messy pacing (too many time jumps and little montages)

Okay here are my ideas for making this a good movie: -make it 30 minutes shorter -remove those cringey moments with all the smelling and bad music -remove the constantly horny looks by the actors

My ideas for making this a great movie: -better effects -better end fight

Because I thought it didn't suck, it had an interesting story, some good moments, amazing cinematography and I felt like the actors had potential.

Pros: -First 4 minutes were great visual storytelling -I personally liked the overall atmosphere -The whole thing with the SMS was new to me -Some moments were funny Cons: -Some moments were not funny -Some annoying characters -The friends of the two leading roles were kinda unnecessary for the story -Very predictable and clichéd -Despite of the interesting themes, I found none of the characters interesting or complex The type of movie which manages it to make you feel good, but at the same time, it is so annoying...

I like: -the complex story -the unique atmosphere which I think is created through: -the refreshing acting, cinematography and music which feels very homemade but since the movie is about a homemade experimental time machine it perfectly works I didn't like: -that the movie guides you through until the last 20 minutes of the movie which then feels kinda try-hard-making-sure-the-audience doesn't-understand-what's-going-on -the end credits (just little point, but boy that was ugly) -that I felt there was a potential that this would be personal story, as well as time machine story, but it was just the latter So I think this movie is very good, but if you think about how awesome it could be (with the addition of more emotions and character development) it feels kinda sad (for me) that it is "just" this.

A few little things here and there, but my main problem with it is that it isn't really my type of movie, this dystopian thing + that kind of action. If you like that stuff, this movie is incredibly great. It looks beautiful, the action is really well done (!), the acting is great, and it has some emotional stuff as well. And I can say that I still had a lot of fun with it. I just can't see myself rewatching it many times because of the reason I mentioned before. So rating this is difficult, but I feel comfortable with a 4/5.

A nice, funny and heartfelt story with a message and a great main actor who is able to to do both funny and emotional scenes. But the story as a whole feels a little bit stretched out, it is kinda predictable and I didn't find Andie MacDowells acting too good + the humor didn't always work for me (sometimes it was too dark in my opinion). =I had a nice time watching it.

I think this movie doesn't have major issues, but neither does it have major pros. Interesting characters, nice arcs, nice action, good dialogue. The only bad thing I wanna mention is the first third: It feels too separated from the rest of the movie, it could be shortened, and I felt that it doesn't fit the tone of the movie that much. The only really great things are the brilliant performances by Robert Downey Jr. and Jeff Bridges. Nice stuff.

My only real issue with the movie is that it sometimes spends too much time on exploring things the audience already knows, I just felt it could be more subtle at times. That being said, it has great dialogue, fantastic acting, amazing cinematography, an intriguing story, and a fantastic finale. "Electrifying" is the word that describes my opinion on this movie the best.
