La cocinera de Castamar (2021)
The Cook of Castamar
If you like period pieces, this series is worth the watch. That said, keep in mind that unless you speak Spanish you will need to rely on English subtitles. Most of the characters are typical archetypes (villain, clueless do-gooder, envious maid, etc.). However, the series was quite engaging though also very predictable and drawn to an obvious conclusion. The biggest hurdle for me was the casting which was way off, and the main reason I gave the series 6 stars. Roberto EnrÃquez, who played the role of Diego Duke of Castamar is a good actor. However, he should NOT have been cast as the lead romantic role for the series. Even with make up, he looked closer in age to an older brother (or even possibly Clara's father). This makes sense since there is an 18-year age difference between Roberto EnrÃquez (the Duke) and Michelle Jenner (Clara Belmonte). A better option for the Duke's role would have been Maxi Iglesias, who sadly was relegated to playing Francisco Marlango. There were other casting mishaps too, though not quite as egregious as the main romantic leads. If you want to be entertained, and don't mind watching a May-December romance, then this series is well worth your time.

It turns out the whitespikes had thawed out after the Russian ice melted between the years 2023 and 2048. Dan and his team deliver the toxin to the whitespikes inside the alien ship, which kills them. A pregnant whitespike escapes. However, Dan manages to save the future of humanity.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Bringing balance to the Force: Rey and Kylo/Ben
Saw the movie twice already. Once on IMAX and once on a Standard 3D cinema. Absolutely LOVED the movie! I seriously don't understand what's up with all the hateful reviews here on IMDd. Never thought I'd say this, but I certainly hope Kylo/Ben and Rey figure out a way to bring balance to the Force together. Balance is not about the Galaxy being ruled by the Sith exclusively nor the Jedi alone. Balance means exactly that. Balance! According to Snoke they are equally matched on opposite ends of the Force. There's no denying the Force-Skype sessions between the two lonely and misunderstood misfits Kylo/Ben and Rey have brought them together in ways no other Jedi/Sith have ever connected before. They achieve a level of emotional intimacy at a very deep level. If there's one word I could use to describe their connection now is this: sensual. Supposedly, it was Snoke who arranged the Force-Skype sessions, yet by the end of the movie, after Skoke was already dead, Rey and Kylo/Ben managed to connect via Force-Skype yet again. Their paths are intertwined in ways neither of them yet realize. I know this is not meant to be a romantic type of movie, but it would make sense to have the two opposites meet in the middle somehow. This approach didn't work for Padme and Anakin, but hopefully it will work for Rey and Kylo/Ben. It would be a win-win for the entire franchise. Nobody is ever 100% good or 100% bad. Bring balance!
