This film was finally televised here in Australia and I have been waiting to see more of Ioan Gruffudd thus I eagerly watched. Knowing from the beginning if this was to be realistic the love of Solomon and Gaenor was doomed in one way or another but still in the end I was consumed with grief as if my own loved one had had been ripped from life. To make it even more heart renching and tragic dear Gaenor isn't even to find happiness in the gift of life which came the day Solomon's was taken. A must see for those who like a well written realistic film. But if you like happy endings keep this one at a safe distance as it will tear your heart out.
