Review of Bully

Bully (2006 Video Game)
9/10
Finally! A game that let's you do things you didn't have the guts to do in high school!

Warning: Spoilers
Considering's the source material, "Bully"'s depth is quite amazing. Who would think that pegging the jocks with a spud-cannon would be so fun until you did it in this game? Or giving nerds swirleys, shoving them into lockers, tossing marbles onto the hall-monitor's path and almost getting caught because you laughed so hard (it's even funnier when you shoot them in the face with your ever-trusty slingshot and watching them try to chase you after cringing on the ground for a minute or two). I just never thought it was this fun. Honestly, I thought Rockstar was making a big mistake when they developed this game. "Who's gonna play a game about being a school bully, what's the draw?" But Rockstar somehow did it again. The game actually makes you feel like the Al Capone of Bullworth Academy, when everybody respects you, you can walk through those halls and look them in the eye and say: "Kiss my shoe?". In fact, when I had Jimmy's respect meters all up to %100 for everybody, the theme song of "The Godfather" immediately came to my mind, the game makes you feel like the kingpin. None of the missions are too challenging, so everybody should be comfortable with it (except for parents who can't seem to be able to READ-THE-RATINGS!!!). The sense of humor is obviously dark, as is the plot, but haven't we come to expect that from Rockstar? Solid title, solid and fun game-play, solid everything...even if you would never try this stuff in your real school, c'mon, get REAL.
