I saw this movie for the first time today, 28 years after it was released. Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis are absolutely amazing. Their characters are polar opposites, and are played with such skill that you forget how young they were at that time. David Duchovny and Michelle Forbes are the perfect yuppie couple in contrast to Pitt and Lewis. Yes, the movie is violent, but it's with a purpose - the message of the movie - Fantasy and reality are quite different.
