Pretty good A plot, very weird B plot

The A plot is pretty good in my opinion, especially compared to the more recent seasons where the overall quality as dipped a little. I was partly waiting for the twist in his suspiciously friendly and caring persona, however, that really was just it. Roger and Hayley is also a nice combination in my opinion. Overall, the A plot was unusually great in a season as late as this. However, I gotta take some stars away because of the B plot. It started off rather okay-ish, Stan is missing his TV booklet in the newspapers, very random but something could be made out of it (like with most B plots in AD! Nowadays) but it just leads to literally nothing. It felt super short, like the B plot didn't get a lot of screentime, and it just leads to Stan making a plan to catch the thief, without any success, and at the end of the episode he reveals to 'noone' (talking to the camera like in a mockumentary but not being aware of it) that he always stole them and hides them in the bathroom. Why? Why did Stan get upset then at the first place? Literally no one else cared, why would he make his family try to catch a non-exsisting thief? I know Stan can be an a**hole to his family but this wasn't even being an a**hole, this was just straight up lazy and uncreative. Very solid A plot, but what was that B plot?

Warning: Spoilers
Just not a strong episode at all here. You're guaranteed some laughs in every American Dad episode, but not as many here tonight as there used to be.
