The whole season in 5 episodes! , this season was rough but I had hope with Farida Kant. However the messiness of cast , unpolished queens & riggory just ended this season like running off a cliff.

Really good Ru-song interpretation
ludikuma1 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
At first I was confused how they would slap Italian verses onto an English Ru-song but it actually sounded really good - especially Elecktra's and Luquisha's verses.

Aside from Luquisha, I am also impressed by their finale eleganza look and it was the right decision to eliminate her before the last lipsync because she truly wasn't a contender with that track record.

I think they shouldn't have ignored Elecktra during the season so much because she was crowned without a maxi-challenge win but with her many mini-challenge wins. Farida should have won based on how they edited the episodes but if we take away the robbing of Elecktra during the season to focus on Luquisha, Divinity and Enorma and consider that she won most mini-challenges, her win makes sense.

While visiting Priscilla's Instagram, I saw more information about the season overall - such as her dresses being the colours of the LGBTQ flag which just made me appreciate her attention to detail more. Drag Race Italia S1 may not have been the best drag race season but it showcased not only drag but also Italy as a culture as well as plenty of LGBTQ advocacy in a country whose LGBTQ rights and attitudes in the general public definitely need updates.

A whole mess
eduardrighetti24 December 2021
This season finale was a complete mess. There were no real stakes, it felt like no one cared about winning. The pacing, like the editing, was disastrous as always, it was overly long and the production's poor quality is obvious when you can't even tell what the queens are saying during the shade challenge or the Rumix (whose coreography I won't even get into). This is not enjoyable as an Italian, I could not imagine this season being a hit anywhere else. If by any chance this happens to get greenlit for a season two, please do better.

Great finale with poor storytelling

Warning: Spoilers
Look, I get the frustration of some people. Farida slayed the entire season and after episode 5 they really made us think she was going to win. Having said that, Elecktra objectively did better than Farida throughout the entire finale.

Track record is important and so are the episode queens have to go through for the entire season. But the point of a competitive finale is that it's anyone's game. If it weren't we would simply have a crowning episode. It's only fair if you think about it. If track record was the criteria then the front-runner could simply show up and give us nothing for the finale and still win. It wouldn't make sense.

Elecktra gave it all in this final episode and hands down won. No one can deny that.

The real problem is that production wasn't able to give her a narrative that could fit her win. That's the big problem.

Finally, the season is fine. It's not as bad as international fans make it out to be.

Wtf

Warning: Spoilers
Farida was a few miles ahead of other contenstanst (not a shade, just a fact). Elecktra is a good Queen but still have a lot of things to improve.

At the end, I mean... Let's pretend this season doesn't exist.

Great finale and song!

This was a great episode and my favourite queen won.

The raw emotion of this whole season has left such an impression on me.

Chiara is the breakout star of this show.

Frida was robbed. She brought so much uniqueness to the runway and while i do thing electra was an incredible drag queen frida was light years above her. It shouldn't have been a question as to who won but apparently drag race loves to continue to make questionable decisions lmao.

What is the point of this show?

This season has been a rollercoaster in terms of pacing and judging but how can you crown Elecktra Bionic with zero wins? I could accept a Le Riche win over Farida somewhat but how can you win something when you were not the best/win one week ever? Make it make sense.

ENOUGH WITH THE HATE
BoboCatNip24 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm tired of this delusional people coming on this website just to hate on this show because it didn't turn out they wanted.

People admittingly subscribing just to give 1 star to this episode simply because they don't personally agree with the winner is ridiculous.

Farida Kant slayed the season but she was completely overshadowed by Elecktra in the finale. Elecktra had the best verse, she was the first to do a split in this season surprising the judges, she nailed the choreo, che had the best final runway and she snapped in the final lipsync. She DOMINATED the finale and so she deserved her win 100%.

Stay pressed.

Also, the episode was the best of the season in terms of production.

I'm here to respect all queens but seriously...farida was the most obvious winner candidate in drag race history. The math isn't mathing this season.

All throughout the season Farida has been either the best or second best at the challenge in every episode. Obviously track record isn't everything but it's not like she was lacking in personality either, we saw her at emotional highs and lows and be entertaining in confessionals so I'm struggling to understand the reasoning behind this crowning.

Don't get me wrong, Elektra is fierce and delivered great looks like her Dita von Teese homage but nothing was on the level of Farida's vampire bride or even her 80's look. My main problem with the crowning was that in the six (extremely) long episodes we learnt basically nothing about Elektra, this was a huge miss by the storyline producers of this season. It seemed like they dived into the season with 50 euros and a dream and a nightmare at that.

Of course no hate to Elektra, she is a phenomenal queen through and through but in the context of this season i'm struggling to see the full realization of her talent (not to her fault). Hopefully Farida will be invited back into a 'Vs The World' spin-off and dominate once again.

So what? Your favourite didn't win? Warning: Spoilers
This finale was literally a great episode and you shouldn't include the fact that your fave didn't win in your critics. The song was amazing and better than the uk's (except for tayce's verse) because at least Italian queens were on beat (also elecktra and luquisha's verses were fire). The little reunion was fun and the final lip sync was awesome. That's literally one of the best finales among non-US franchises episode-wise.

What a joke

What's the point of having challenges if the season's winner never had a challenge win? They could've just saved us the whole show and pick a DR representative from Italy.

Wow just wow
columk-6822524 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Drag race Italia across only five episodes has shown a drag race down under level of proficiency for bad decision making from keeping around queens who performed badly every episode to badly placed challenge wins ,double eliminations and shantays for no reason and an awful way of giving placements they really topped every other season on terms of ridiculousness for no reason and just when we thought we were okay and the only option to win was farida they gave the crown to a queen with no wins andd who performed mediocre every episode truly something to appreciate for it's pure awfulness I praise Italia for managing to make a season worse than drag race down under truly a feat.
