Best of the season so far!

This episode was actually good! It was really nice to see Lois and Meg bonding and Lois being a good surprising mom for once was refreshing to see. Meg also wasn't the butt of the joke actual in this episode and was treated like a real person. The B plot was also good with the writers addressing the decline in Brian and Stewie's friendship and although it wasn't a completely satisfying take on their declining friendship, it was still really nice to have it be addressed in some way. Overall a great episode by modern Family Guy standards and I hope that there will be more episodes like this in the future. Side note but why are all the ratings on the recent episodes so low?

Genuinely heartwarming and hilarious!

First off, can we appreciate Lois being a good mother for a change? The back and forth between her and Meg, genuinely made me feel all sappy. And seeing them on the same side as they go through the good and the bad of getting kidnapped, every time I thought Lois was gonna throw Meg under the bus, she never did, she even offered herself to protect Meg.

On to the B plot. Brian and Stewie have a falling out, and not only do their jabs at each other have some great call backs, but they both make good points about the character of the other, but at the end the two make up in a flamboyant way only they can. And the ending scene between the two in the diner is too cute and heartwarming. Best of the Season.

I see a lower score than usual for this episode and I am a little bit surprised by that. I tend to come down a little harsher on Family Guy than some others and I expect that as I am harsher on most shows than others, but I though this episode was alright. They picked the perfect way to parody a housewife with everything in the purse and how it all came into play for the escape.

The Brian and Stewie scenes were certainly a little bit underwhelming, but at least we did not get a full length song from Brian when he apologized to Stewie at the wedding. Family Guy has had some good musical numbers, but their heart wasn't in this one.
