No Pay, Nudity is an excellent movie with outstanding performances by the cast -- especially Gabriel Byrne and Nathan Lane. Although it focuses on the lives of actors, the issues it addresses -- career vs. family, friendship, aging, frustrations, hopes, and loving what you do, to name a few -- are universal. The movie contains a lot of humor as well as soul-searching, often intertwined. It's both highly entertaining and thought- provoking. You see Gabriel Byrne in a role unlike any you've ever seen him in before, and he nails it. Nathan Lane has never been better -- in addition to the humor we've come to expect of him, he brings a world-weary depth to his character as well as a highly principled fierceness. And Lane's fat-suit is terrific!

Boring! Boring! Boring!

This is the type of film which you hope that the next scene will be the one where it takes off and becomes interesting, and it doesn't, so you hope the next scene will be the one, and it's not, and then hope the next scene will be the one, but the next scene is just as boring as all the ones which proceed it, so you (I) finally give up and watch a rerun of Gillian's Island and have a far better time.
I wasted a Netflix rental on giving this film a try; learn from my mistake.
