This movie is painfully bad

Warning: Spoilers
My friend asked me to watch this movie because she heard it was good. We sat down and started to watch and could not get into it at all. The plot is a bad plagiarizing of Clerks (that is not even close to the quality of film or writing of Clerks). Narrator has to be used to introduce characters and location, which shows how shallow the plot is. There are times you can see a mic pole in the shot (shocked because the audio sounds like it used no mics at all but the ones on the camera) and scenes with cars driving show they left the camera on the white SUV. This film was something we tried to muscle through with laughter, not because it was funny, but because whoever made this was so bad at filming they couldn't even make it the quality a student in high school would do. I watched it for free on Amazon Prime and i am shocked that Amazon allowed this to be published on their site. I should have listened to the bad reviews on Amazon, save yourself the time and don't watch.

How did they get this so right?

Warning: Spoilers
I heard about this movie by a film guy named Graham Jones. I saw the minor flaws when I searched for them. Dialogue and The plot needed a little more depth. The two leads were good and believable. The fact that two Midwestern guys knew more about the disgusting stuff in Hollywood more than the people who are working in the industry claimed to know at the time is pretty amusing to me. At least this film went for it and commented on it before it was all over the news cycles and to me that took balls.

Some parts are slow and clearly used for filler. I give that a break because it was made with a super low budget of 5 grand.I laughed, I smiled, and i was amused. The star wars stuff didn't fit the movie and could have done without it didn't make me laugh or find interesting. The black dude with safety glasses made no sense and maybe that was the joke they were going for? I watched it on prime for free. I recommend giving it an honest shot. Accepting it's flaws in it and getting lost in enjoying it with some friends while drinking beers.

It's pretty bad.

Warning: Spoilers
This is a film about Waterloo, or it's supposed to be. Waterloo is the most diverse city in Iowa but there is very little diversity displayed in this great cinematic blunder. When there is someone that's not cracker white they are some sort of caracture. There are two black dudes. One of them plays the mayor, and he's actually the mayor. The other one plays some sort of womanizing drug dealer with an obviously fake afro. The Native American is made fun of. That's not to mention the running joke of the "Uber Jew" that seems to transcend the entirety of the catalogue of offerings from these people. Horrible.

Solo Jack from the Midwest

My wife and I went to see this movie at the Mayan Theatre in Denver, CO. We had heard from our friends that it created a buzz in the Midwest and was playing down the street from us. From the beginning to the end credits 'Bros.' captures the flavor and the-day-in-the-life of a place like Waterloo, IA. Tanner and Matt (the Bros) take their irreverent humor all over town from bar to bar meeting their idiosyncratic counterparts and laughing it up as too many people are taking things very seriously. The Bros. have a way of laughing at those things the way that many people need right now. This movie is laugh therapy.

Good job, Bros! Way to do this film on a small budget! The sound could have been a bit better, however the soundtrack was great! And the director of photography has a fantastic eye or two. Way to go on this snapshot of a place like Waterloo!

Good fun.

A solid independent comedy. Some really good laughs. The two leads have really good chemistry, and seem like real life "Bros." Reminds me of early Kevin Smith movies. I watched it on Amazon Prime, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of comedy or independent film. I'm looking forward to what these guys do next.

You boys made Waterloo proud.

I went to the showing in Waterloo. I Wasn't sure what to expect? I heard ads on the radio and facebook. I had so much fun. I learned so much about the rich history of Waterloo.

My oldest son really enjoyed the humor. (He quotes it all the time). I'll admit the jokes kept the movie going and Matt and Tanner have great chemistry together. It's so great to have you guys here. I'm a big nerd for Starwars and I have handed that down to my children. Needless to say they loved the references. I Love all the characters. It also made me want to immediately check my Uber app. Lol. Thanks again. I can't wait to see the next thing you guys come up with.

Hilarious!

My wife and I saw the movie 'Bros' in theaters on November 13th in Cedar Falls at the premiere, and we both laughed almost the entire movie. The character "Professor Tony", in particular, made me shed a couple tears because I was laughing so hard. The chemistry on screen is what was the best part, and to top it off there is an appearance by a Hollywood actor. Definitely recommend you check out this movie, and see how funny Iowa comedians are!

Still kickin

I wasn't front row but stoked to see the show. Met some of the cast. Had a good night. This movie is still solid. Characters are smart, influential, and reflective of the culture they're representing. A lot of inside jokes but that was kind of cool. Would totally recommend to this day.
