Padma Lakshmi testified in Boston federal court on Monday, confirming a Top Chef producer’s earlier declaration that members of the Teamsters Union Local 25 threatened the host in 2014 while protesting the reality show.
The 46-year-old said that one of the four Teamsters picketing outside Milton, Massachusetts, restaurant Steel & Rye – where the Bravo series was filming at the time – leaned his arm into her vehicle while it was blocked, and said, ” ‘Oh, lookie here. What a shame about that pretty face,’ ” according to Boston Herald reporter Laurel Sweet.
“I felt like he was bullying me, like he was telling me he was going to hit me.

Television is worst when it's safe, and even some of the highest-rated shows in the landscape are culprits of pedaling the scripted norm: formulated one-liners, typical reveals, copying the routine methods of shows that have come before, simply re-packaging them for a different audience. And to honor that would be a slight to the brilliant breakout series elevating television to new heights: whether we're gasping every week at Shonda Rhimes' latest revelation on Scandal, waiting for the next blood-curdling murder on Dexter, or guiltily employing the twisted pleasure that is Pretty Little Liars, there's a lot of great TV that is evolving the art, and forcing us as viewers to grow along with it.
That's why for our third annual list of the 50 greatest TV episodes of the year, we made a point to celebrate the episodes and series that completely throw caution to the wind, creating some of the most mind-blowing,...

Michael Ross, a 58 year old California man who works in the pharmaceutical and theater industries in Orange County, won the Gold Derby contest to predict the Razzie nominations. He correctly forecasted 83% of the nominees in eight races and also achieved the highest score (2120) when applying points wagered using Gold Derby's racetrack odds. "That's an impressive accomplishment considering there are so many possibilities to choose from – especially at our awards," says Razzie chief John Wilson. "For his sake, I sure hope he only guessed and didn't actually sit through watching all of that crap." When asked by Gold Derby how he scored so high, Ross replied, "I did not have any techniques. Just chose according to what I had heard and from what the Gold Derby pundits say." His prize: Razzie Supporting Patron membership worth $250. It gives him and 19 others of his choice a free one-year membership, which includes voting r.

Whilst we were sleeping last night, the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held out in L.A., one of a handful of awards ceremonies that have proven useful in the past in the predictions ahead of the Academy Awards, coming this year on 26th February.
Tate Taylor’s The Help had four nominations, and took home three of the top prizes (and since two of its nominations were in the same category, I’d say the film did a pretty good job).
Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer both won in their respective Leading and Support Female Actor categories, and very interestingly, the film beat the likes of The Artist, The Descendants, Bridesmaids, and Midnight in Paris in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category, the top prize of the night.
This could potentially throw the Oscars open, at least a little, with both The Artist...

Big-screen video game adaptations is the up-and-coming trend, behind comic book movies (which critics are getting sick of, but too bad! The Dark Knight Rises and The Man of Steel will keep that winch turning for a long time), and the whole “let’s remake everything from the 80′s!” thing. There are plenty of potential franchises on their way, and now we can add the Just Cause game series to the list.
THR reports that Bryan Edward Hill has been brought aboard by producers Adrian Askarieh and Eric Eisner to rewrite the existing adaptation of Square Enix’s hit series, which is currently titled Just Cause: Scorpio Rising. The plot? Something about “a black ops agent codenamed the Scorpion who enters a guerilla war to overthrow a dictator. The movie will focus on the origin of the Scorpion, aka Rico Rodriguez.” The second game in the series, Just Cause...

The Screen Actors Guild has announced their list of nominations for the best performances of 2011. I have to point out that I'm surprised Tom Hardy and Joel Edgarton weren't nominated for their roles in Warrior, because they were pretty damn awesome in that film. I think they deserved a nom more than Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a huge fan of DiCaprio but his performance in J. Edgar wasn't his best. Brad Pitt will end up taking home the award for Moneyball though. It was great to see Bridesmaids and The Help get a nomination for best ensemble cast. It will be interesting to see who takes home the award on this list, and how many of them will make their way to the Oscars.
Who would you like to see take home the award?

It's been one crazy year for film and TV and now it's time to see how our favorites made out in SAG nominations. "The Artist," which has pretty much bought up real estate on awards alley, scooped up three nominations. But the list might throw some award oracles for a loop. "Drive," this year's uber-violent favorite, was conspicuously absent -- not even so much as a scorpion-stitched jacket for Albert Brooks' decidedly un-cuddly role. What the what? (Yeah, "30 Rock" did well.)
Check out the full SAG nominations below.

Regina King and Judy Greer announced the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards this morning, and for Primetime Television, it was more of the usual suspects. Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Dexter, and The Good Wife were each nominated for best ensemble drama, in addition to nominations for their respective stars. Steve Carell, who bid farewell to The Office, and Kyle Chandler, whose Friday Night Lights completed its run on NBC, both were recognized. Patrick J. Adams received his first SAG nomination for his work on Suits, and Jessica Lange was honored for her macabre role on FX’s American Horror Story.

We failed you, faithful AfterElton.com readers. It's our job to have our fingers on the pulse of pop culture and to let you know when there is a TV show that you absolutely should be watching. It turns out there is a show that has been airing all summer that is actually quite good, and while it doesn't have any Glbt content (so far anyway), it does feature two very handsome leads who are definitely engaged in a bromance.
Well, more like a September/May bromance or a Daddy/Twink bromance to be exact. Either way, it's pretty hot and you should be watching.
The show is USA's Suits and the bromance is taking place between Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick Adams). Specter is a high flying, hard charging Manhattan attorney, while Ross is a brilliant but unmotivated slacker. At least he is until Specter takes...

It’s beginning to look a lot like fall TV time! And I’m so excited, I could scream! But that would be really awkward for the person in the office next to me, I imagine.
Instead, I’ll sit here and wait for your questions to pop up in the Spoiler Room inbox (spoilerroom@ew.com).
Clearly my brain is fried. So I’ll leave you to read. Remember to send in your inquiries and follow me on Twitter for more awkward thoughts (and maybe some scoop): @EWSandraG.
