Netflix has just released their lists of what films and TV shows we will see added in February…and what films and TV shows will vanish.
First, the good news: quite a few classic and popular TV shows are making the grade on the streaming service, including the first five seasons of Mash, Hawaii 5-0, and the new season of House of Cards. New additions to the film list include RoboCop, The Brothers Bloom, and Gimme Shelter. While there’s not a lot of quality stuff on offer, there are at least a few new films and TV shows that we can enjoy on the Netflix streaming service.
Now for the bad news: quite a number of favorites are going to vanish from Netflix come February 1. Among these are several James Bond films, Zodiac, Jane Eyre, and Dredd. The TV shows fare even worse, with tons of BBC shows expiring,...

For someone with his immense range and talent, Tom Hardy has been a “one to watch” far too long. Years before he went toe-to-toe with Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Rises, he made his debut in HBO’s Band of Brothers in 2001, quickly graduated to Star Trek villain in 2002, and won the BAFTA Rising Star Award for Inception in 2011. Earlier this year, he carried an entire film, Locke, in which he just drove a car and talked on the phone.

The faboo Ana Ortiz is finally making a return to ABC, booking a guest role on Revenge as a PR specialist the Graysons (who else) hire to deal with a crisis.
A few days before its fourth season debuts, Fox has ordered a fifth season of Bob’s Burgers. So we can still hope for that episode where Bob dreams he’s a jerkface spy working for a mismanaged espionage agency.
Why can’t casting directors find a role worthy of Sarah Michelle Gellar since Buffy? The current batch of kickass heroines in movies show Gellar’s influence, but those roles came too...

If you’ve ever watched Casablanca, it’s probably one of your two or three favorites. If you’ve never watched it, shame on you.
There are very few movies that can be involved in a “best movie ever” argument. Sure, you can argue that the original Halloween is the best horror movie of all time and you can argue that the original Arthur is the greatest comedy of all time. You can even mistakenly argue that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is the greatest western of all time. But none of those can compare to Casablanca in a “best movie ever” discussion.
So here are 12 reasons why Casablanca is Obviously the greatest movie of all time. In fact, Casablanca occupies the top three spots in the greatest movies of all time – that’s how great it is.

When the conversation arises about the best comic actors who’ve successfully made the leap to serious roles, the names of Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, and Bill Murray are frequently mentioned. Rarely does anyone mention Sean Penn. The two-time Oscar winner, of course, is best known for playing gritty, emotionally turbulent anti-heroes, but it’s worth noting that his breakout Hollywood role was one Jeff Spicoli, the funniest wave-craving dude from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
And it wasn’t a fluke. Over the years, Penn has proven to be a talented comedic thesp who can get both high- and low-brow laughs.

The catch: They will swap roles as Rick takes on reviews of television Christmas specials and Kate takes on Christmas movies. Today is day 14.

About three weeks ago, I gave you a long-winded article covering the possible reuniting of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro for Art Linson‘s The Comedian. I stand corrected – The Playlist reports from NY Post that Sean Penn will be helming the feature. Or will he?
Not that anyone’s even signed on yet. The NY Post article cites unnamed sources, so it’s most likely another blip on the rumor radar. Written by Fight Club producer Linson and Jeffrey Ross, The Comedian follows an aging insult comic – a mash-up of Don Rickles and Joan Rivers, apparently.
It still sounds like a good role, and despite Penn’s frequently-reported plan to retire from acting to direct full time, he’ll be seen (in an alarming wig) as an aged rock star seeking his father’s ex-Nazi executioner in This Must Be Place, as well as Terrence Malick‘s The Tree of Life.

Maybe it’s time for Scarlett Johansson to settle down with a nice agent. Though her relationship with Sean Penn, coming months after her divorce from Ryan Reynolds, has reportedly already come to an end, Us reports that she isn’t quite ready to lose another emotionally distant leading man. According to the mag, ScarJo was up in Penn’s business throughout last week’s Guy’s Choice Awards. “She pushed herself into his conversations,” said their source. “She sat down between him and Robert De Niro. Robert was like ‘What?’ and made a face.” Hey Scar, you probably haven’t even seen We’re No Angels, let alone starred in it! Let them reminisce!
As for that photo of Scarlett and Sean taken at the event, that was also apparently her idea. “A photographer asked for a shot,” said the snoop. “Before Sean could say no, she said yes.

German pop star Nadja Benaissa has risked further scandal by suggesting a former lover who she infected with HIV is responsible for catching the virus. In August, the "No Angels" star was handed a two-year suspended sentence after she was convicted of transmitting HIV to an ex-partner.
During her trial in Darmstadt, Germany, she apologized for her actions, telling the court, "I am sorry from the bottom of my heart. I would love to turn back the clock, but I can't." But during an appearance on German talk show Beckhmann on Monday, October 4, Benaissa prompted outrage by suggesting the unnamed man should share the blame for catching the virus.
She said, "As you know that this disease exists and that it is possible to become infected, actually you are kind of responsible for taking precautions that something like this cannot happen - that this cannot happen to yourself."

She rose to fame as a member of the German pop music group No Angels, but Nadja Benaissa is making news for something quite different as of late.
The 28-year-old singer was convicted on charges of causing grievous bodily harm and attempted bodily harm in a German court today for failing to tell her sexual partners that she is HIV positive.
Benaissa has known her HIV status since 1999 and ended up infecting one of her lovers with the virus by way of unprotected sex. She was given a suspended two-year jail sentence.
In a statement to the court, Nadja said, “I am sorry from the heart.” She also explained that she didn’t tell anyone about her illness for fear of tainting her pop group’s reputation and harming her daughter.
