It could have been...should have been...but was not anything else than another Teenage flick. The story is so shallow that one can, with a bit of imagination, see the end after 10minutes into the movie.
And then of course Fanning, who does not have enough of Dakota gets here the overdose. She looks and acts like her sister and that's that. I watched it because the previews were actually pretty good and I expected maybe a bit too much, but was nevertheless very disappointed to end up in a Teenage Alien Movie with all possible clichés in it! It reminded me in some occasions on Stand by me, but that was probably just me.
Conclusion: If you want your up to 14year old kids have a good time, this is the movie to watch. IF you are a bit older, get a DVD and save your money!
