Wendy Williams is not one to hold back when there's scandalous celebrity news unfolding—and true to form, she didn't shirk the issue when it was her own life's turn in the hot seat this week. "It's weird doing Hot Topics and being a hot topic," she said coyly on The Wendy Williams Show Tuesday. "It's some sort of weird story going around the Internet regarding my husband. Now look, I'm a straight shooter, pow-pow. All you've got to do is Google him and you see the story. You can believe what you want, but..." She flashed her massive diamond ring. "I stand by my guy," she continued. "We commuted this morning. The paparazzi was outside,...

These days it's tough to find reasons to be cheerful about the state of the nation – but an America without Duck Dynasty is a good place to start. No show in television history has ever sucked quite like this one. And if the TV gods are willing, no show ever will.
A&E's massive hit became a cultural presence in 2012 for its down-home charm – the zany adventures of a real-life Lousiana clan who kept their country manners and backwoods habits, with Phil, Miss Kay, their bearded sons and loopy Vietnam vet Uncle Si.

It's probably better off this way. Joni Mitchell made her sentiments about Taylor Swift clear this weekend when she told The Sunday Times that the pop star will not be playing her in any movie. In 2012, Swift, 24, was reportedly in talks to play the legendary folk artist in the film adaptation of the biography Girls Like Us, which tells the stories of legends Carole King, Carly Simon, and Mitchell. "I squelched that," Mitchell, 71, said of the biopic. "I said to the producer, 'All you've got [...]...

Legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell shoots down the idea of current superstar Taylor Swift playing her in a biopic. Although Swift has expressed interest in playing the role, Mitchell says, "I squelched that! I said to the producer, 'All you've got is a girl with high cheekbones.'" Of the planned adaptation of Sheila Weller's "Girls Like Us," Mitchell adds, "It's just a lot of gossip, you don't have the great scenes. There's a lot of nonsense about me in books, assumptions, assumptions, assumptions." Vulture -Break- Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon will soon be coming to television. Joni Mitchell has said that she "squelched" the idea of a biopic featuring Taylor Swift.
The 'Case Of You' singer explained that she rejected the film, which would have reportedly starred Swift as Mitchell.
"I squelched that! I said to the producer, 'All you've got is a girl with high cheekbones'," the 71-year-old told The Sunday Times.
"It's just a lot of gossip, you don't have the great scenes. There's a lot of nonsense about me in books - assumptions, assumptions, assumptions."
Back in 2012, Swift admitted that her role in Girls Like Us - a biopic based on Sheila Weller's 2008 book of the same name, which follows the lives of Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Carly Simon - was "actually not confirmed".
Mitchell also rejected perceptions of herself as 'the female Dylan', saying: "I am much more original musically, and a much more original thinker."

Joey Essex has brushed off rumours that he has split from Sam Faiers.
Speaking to Digital Spy to promote new parcel service Doddle, Essex suggested that the media had concocted the story that he had broken up with Faiers a couple of weeks ago.
Asked directly if the pair are together, Essex said: "We're happy. We're happy, yeah."
Essex, who launched Doddle with Faiers this morning, explained: "Just like any couple, we argue - probably like yourself, like every person in the whole world. We all argue, except ours is in the public eye. That's what happens.
"If we're seen or out of the blue sometimes the magazines and papers decide to write what they want to write, and people want to believe what they see. That's how it is in this world."

We're excited about Dancing on Ice returning on Sunday, but it's a little bittersweet given that this will be the final series. Still, the show is definitely going out with a bang with an All-Star cast - including six winners.
We caught up with all the stars at the show's launch this week - with the exception of Joe Pasquale, who genuinely had to rush off to panto - so read on to find out how training is going, what Jorgie really thinks of being paired with Sylvain, and whose secret weapon is... farting?

Original series and position: Winner in series three (2008)

"Oh, wouldn't it be lovely to replicate my perfect score? Whether I will or not, I don't know. I've been away in Bristol for quite a while so I haven't seen anyone compete or skate, so I don't know what level I'm at.

Even if you've not seen his stand-up work, you may know Joel Dommett as DC Sweeney in Skins, the host of Made in Chelsea spinoff Live in Chelsea, the (former) Face of MTV, or even a one-time warm-up act for Justin Bieber.
This summer he's back doing the day job, bringing last year's Edinburgh show Nunchuck Silver Medallist 2002 to London's Soho Theatre for a five-night run before taking it out on tour.
Ahead of the live dates, Digital Spy caught up with Joel to talk about martial arts, comedy, and just what happened when he tried to explain Pat Sharp to One Direction.
Nunchuck Silver Medallist 2002 - a great title, what's it all about?
"It's true to life! I was Nunchuck Silver Medallist in 2002. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with taekwondo but I was really bad at it. I found myself being really good at nunchucks, because I was such a loner.

The celebrity interview is a fraught affair. After actor Rhys Ifans stalks out of his unhappy encounter with a Times journalist, we ask those who interview the stars about their worst experiences
Mick Brown, Daily Telegraph
The film industry is now less caring about [traditional] media exposure. A lot of their PR campaign – and the interview is part of that – is much more driven by Twitter, YouTube, those types of things. So the celebrity interview has fallen down the ranking in importance, and particularly in the British media.
The way they try to control the environment has become more palpable. If they want the PR to sit in, I always try to say there's no need, but the main form of control is time. I was doing a lot of music interviews in the early part of my career, and I would be allowed to go on the road with Elvis Costello and Queen.

"House At The End Of The Street" was shot before Jennifer Lawrence was even cast in "The Hunger Games." The horror film was originally set to come out in February, but got pushed back by Lionsgate to better take advantage of Lawrence's standing as Katniss Everdeen. In the end, the decision will likely pay off: "House At The End of the Street," buoyed by a marketing campaign focused on Lawrence (and her decolletage), should finish on the top half of the weekend box office chart come Sunday night.
Of course, that doesn't mean "House At The End Of The Street" (or #Hates, as the film is being promoted as on Twitter), is without controversy. Earlier this week, as part of the promotion push for the film, Lionsgate released a clip of Lawrence singing a song called "All You've Got To Do Is Fall In Love."

GQ's sit-down with John Carter-by-way-of-fnl star Taylor Kitsch is a must-read if you enjoy Tim Riggins, underdogs (Kitsch's word), and/or lessons about how to slit a dude's throat in four seconds, Navy Seal-style. But there's also a bit about Kitsch's unorthodox shoe-tying method — which involves looping the strings around one extra time before you make a bow — that seems worth your time. "I play in a men's league hockey in Austin," he explains, "And I'm like, 'Gentleman, listen up. This is going to change your fucking life.'" Go on! All you've got to remember: "just go around one more. Just one more." What about three times, GQ asks? "No. It gets awkward if you do it another one." And how confident is Kitsch in his method? Very. "Let's make it an app. A $4.88 app. All the languages. Make it worldwide." You heard the man.

The Big News: Another bad week for John Laurinaitis as the Gm was informed that his position is up for review and ended the night being struck down by Punk with a Gts. Meanwhile Kane installed further rage in Cena by sending Ryder to hospital following their Falls count anywhere match and a Miz loss to R-Truth means that he will be the unfortunate number one entrant in this Sunday’s Royal Rumble match.
In a Nutshell: I’d advise watching old Rumble tapes to get hyped for this weekend as this show did little to promote the excitement and drama of the WWE’s unique 30 man event.
Cm Punk started the show. He talked very briefly about Dolph Ziggler getting some cheap pinfalls over him before turning his attention to the perpetrator behind these immoral victories, John Laurinaitis. He played the clip of Laurinaitis admitting that he was going...

This will certainly rub some people the wrong way and clearly already has. According to The Guardian, Westminster council gave a thumbs down to A Serbian Film deeming its violent sexual imagery unacceptable. Director Srdjan Spasojevic isn't pleased not only because he calls the material in question justified, but because the ruling means his film won't be shown during London's FrightFest film festival on Sunday as planned.

Released on UK screens this weekend is the new buddy-cop comedy Cop Out, directed by Kevin Smith and starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.
It's about two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card who find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster.
Jimmy Monroe (Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectable is his only hope to pay for his daughter's upcoming wedding, while Paul Hodges (Morgan) is his partner whose preoccupation with his wife's alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eye on the ball.
Here's what the two actors had to say...
What drew you to make a comedy as your next film?
Bruce: If I had a choice, I would do comedy all the time. It's just the most challenging thing. To make someone laugh is the most challenging thing, and the most rewarding thing, in entertainment.
