Outrageous behavior
xredgarnetx1 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
In order to get Stacy's husband into the hospital for tests, House must resort to a rather unusual tactic. The scene in which he does so is both shocking and side-splittingly funny. Problem is, once House gets Mark into a hospital bed, Mark starts getting really, really sick and for awhile it appears Mark may not make it. Will House save the day? Or will he let Mark buy the farm in order to make a grab for Stacy? The last few seconds of this episode are a real heartbreaker, so be prepared. And they are done without dialog, in a manner that lets Hugh Laurie really demonstrate his acting chops. The delectable Sela Ward as Stacy has a way of either growing on you or making you wish she were dead. As her story arc progresses and winds down, you will have to decide for yourself. But I will say I for one would not be averse to her return someday.

Good backstory, decently compelling. Weird Cameron ending

Warning: Spoilers
However the part with Cameron at the end felt tacked on and odd. "You just couldn't love me" she says. What an odd comparison she is making between a FORMER SPOUSE and a 1st date.

Just felt odd to include that in this episode when it is the spotlight is not about her today.

WHEN LOVES COLLIDE
kj_tenneson29 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First off, let me just say that anytime I get to see Currie Graham guest-star, I'm a happy camper. That aside, this was much more about the dynamics between key figures than anything else.

Particularly, I'm speaking of the relationship between House and his ex, and House and Cameron. At one point he questions his ex about the decision she's trying to make for her husband and how he won't forgive her...presumably, this is House's dig, reminding her that he never forgave her taking his medical agency away. But she quickly retorts with 'he would', with the emphasis on "he", meant to indicate he had more room for forgiveness (among other things) in his life than House had shown in the past.

As for the situation with Cameron, I was actually pleased to see her bow out of her unrequited love affair with House. Don't get me wrong, I like Cameron, but honestly, given the types of women I've seen House with/or interested in are women of real strength, confidence and are able to hold their own with him - Cameron has the occasional moment when sparring with House, but she is too soft for him. Just an opinion.

Cliches allow one to dismiss an espisode
polite-456921 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Cliches allow one to dismiss an episode as low quality. One of the most tired cliches: a woman complaining about a "pissing contest" between two men who feel mildly competitive.
