Sex & Nudity
-
- A character wears an "FBI" (Female Body Inspector) hat.
- Older women in bikinis fondle a young man beside a swimming pool, removing his clothes so that only his underwear are visible. They then push him into the pool as a joke.
- Mentions of flirting, sex, pregnancy and marriage all featured as discussion points, however most of this does not go beyond PG-13 and there is no on-screen sex or nudity.
- Characters are seen in a gym wearing yoga pants, crop tops and shorts.
- The main character, an American-residing girl with an Indian cultural background, is having her marriage arranged by her parents. She is visibly upset by this, and harbours a crush towards a man of a different ethnicity, which later develops into romance.
- A neighbour spies through an apartment window using binoculars, where she catches a young couple making out. From her dialogue, they are suggested to be having sex; "Oh! They are making babies!" is said aloud at one point.
Violence & Gore
-
- There is very little of what might be considered "violence" in this film; most of it, such as a character pushed into a swimming pool, is played for comedy, and nobody is seriously hurt.
Profanity
-
- Some scatological humour; characters discover a magic spell to repel men which requires that they rub pigeon droppings on their faces; another character remarks that they "smell of poop", after which she tries the spell herself.
- Some brief comments, on-screen text and dialogue referencing sexuality and pregnancy. Most of this uses the proper terminology, although there are are few scenes of sexual innuendos, including "making babies".
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- A character is visibly distraught and annoyed at having to be subjected to various suitors during her mother's attempt at arranged marriage.
- A girl often gets into verbal arguments with her family, some of which can be rather intense.
