Demons are back with a Bang!!
karthika-5898413 June 2022
Evil has been one of the interesting series that I was waiting to see return with new season and here it is. The first episode is very intriguing with a new investigation and also touches upon the ongoing issues between Kirsten and David. Looking forward for the upcoming episodes.

A solid start to the season
tanstorck13 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Picking up right where season 2 left off, we get to see the aftermath of Kristen and David's kiss. I'm not really sure what to believe regarding what happened that night. Throughout the episode David has dreams/hallucinations of him and Kristen together. Kristen saying they just kissed wasn't too believable. I'm looking forward to seeing where Sheryl's storyline goes. I also wonder how much Andy will find out about the supernatural...and I can't wait until David comes over for dinner! The premiere wasn't as scary as I expected, but the music was great in making it suspenseful. The camera movement in this episode felt different than the previous seasons. If this episode showed us anything, it's that this show is still as fun and wacky as ever.

Creepy as hell

Warning: Spoilers
So glad the show is back. It freaks me right out and I love it. So many interesting avenues they're exploring. That demon in Sheryl's room and then the little head in the toilet was super creepy. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for it to react to being flushed! Then there's the hallucination/demon/whatever that David is having encounters with, the relationship between the two priests, the bodyweight before and after death, science vs religion, etc. - such interesting concepts they're exploring. And of course Lelands continued attempts to influence with the daughters but cool how they're onto him. The mood that this shows sets up is brilliant.

21 grams Warning: Spoilers
It's good to have Evil back, although most would argue that it was never on hiatus. Does the soul REALLY weigh 21 grams? Experiments that were conducted in 1907 suggest that it does. Upon death, human bodies lose 21 grams of weight. This experiment was conducted again, sort of, in. 2001 using one ram, seven ewes, three lambs and one goat. LOL! I don't know what a bunch of animals have to do with a human soul, but they GAINED weight, instead of losing it. There's a real dearth of experiments involving humans, at the time of death. I don't know of ANY others. You would think that hundreds of people would have done this experiment. After all, it IS an important matter. The human soul. Maybe it HAS been done numerous times, and no one wants to admit to the results. If there Is a soul, we would want to change the way we live...wouldn't we?

Excellent start of the season
namob-4367313 June 2022
I have had a few objections to this show, mainly a few of the actors and the lack of development. I also disliked the kissing ending of the last season. Here however they basically solved all those issues in one go with a pretty creepy and very interesting storyline.

This show is still very good, but I really hope they go somewhere because this slowburn and slow pace work per episode but not for the show as a whole.

I didn't want to watch after 1 minute

New season of Evil, EXCITED, love this serie....

Please tune down on the sex scenes, it kinda caused me to not want to watch from the first minutes.

Stay true to the magic of the unknown, it's such a cheap way to waste episode time.

It's Getting Sloppy
tjklusewitz23 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
There are so many instances that just deny credulity. Too many things are just not believable. A head in the toilet and no one seems to be shocked. Kids play non-stop video games and no one notices. Demons in the garage and again no one is shocked. I appreciate that we have several threads going at once, but can we get a grip on the silliness of ignoring the things that are happening?

Too much sex!
jwrnettles27 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Tone down the damn sex, it's not necessary and makes me want to not watch! David's morals should be higher anyway then to knowingly have sex with a demon.

A lot of stupidity in a season premier (Spoilers)
onikage-493247 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm going to cover the DUMBEST thing in the episode second, but let's recap the main body of the episode first:

This week, a group of scientists are trying to prove the "Soul" or "Consciousness" exists by weighing a body right before and after death. It's a incredibly high-tech setup but when they actually perform the experiment, SPARKS start flying (which Ben rightfully points out) and the science team is like "Oh never mind that it's fine". Two people are measured: A Terminally Ill Priest and a Terminally Ill Nun. The Priest has cancer and when he dies he loses weight and when the Nun dies she gains weight. Somehow, the Priest's Cancer disappears and the same cancer appears in the Nun.

Now comes 1 of David's 2 incredibly stupid moments in the show: He thinks the weight loss is a Demon leaving the priest's body... Also it would have been smart if they matched the weight loss and weight gain for the priest and nun to be the exact same number but they didn't.

Ok, now for probably the dumbest, most ridiculous thing they write David doing (which is a shame because I'm a fan of the character and actor): David thinks he sleeps with Kristen, but it turns out it was a Demon in her form, so he keeps sleeping with it because APPARENTLY a Priest's celibacy isn't broken if you have sex with a DEMON!? Wow. Ok, you'd think that would be WORSE right!? Well I guess David found the first perk of being vulnerable to demons, not only can they hurt you but they can provide sexual favors too.

I'm just saying......
landihannon14 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
There have been a few episodes where there have been provocative scenes. There is a time and place for those and this show is more creative than that. As a catholic I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding the church at all times. I feel like David as a character can show his uncertainty about becoming a priest/finally joining the priesthood without ALL the ways it is being personified. Yes... we all have doubts at times and evil is everywhere. I think in the grand scheme of things the show has fantastic ways of layering that. With that being said, I think there should be more ways to show the everyday battle with one's faith than incubus/succubus scenes. I really have enjoyed the show thus far but that's one thing I feel is making me less enthusiastic to continue the show. As a true fan I will continue to watch what has been fantastic. The three main characters have a very special dynamic that doesn't have to end up being intertwined with sexual tension between two of the key characters. I feel like saying anything else will become redundant.
