Many people still believe that Japanese people are generally diligent, quiet and shy but if you happen to see Yusha Yoshiko (=Yoshihiko The Hero) you would be blown away by how far Japanese people could go doing silly and hilarious drama.
If you are non-native speaker of Japanese language and have never lived in Japan you may have trouble understanding some wired jokes because many of their stories could be parodies of Japanese TV dramas, films and TV ads.
But even if you don't understand these trends and fads their acting would make you smile.
