Stylish Anthology

This stylish anthology horror based on the "numbers" is a great watch and is available on Amazon. Great casting and performances. Visually great to look at and fabulous attention to detail with sets and period props.

Brilliantly crafted portmanteau

The Numbers screened at Horror on Sea in 2020 - didn't know what to expect with this one, but what we got was a beautifully crafted film set over several distinct time periods - the thing that connects all four are "The Numbers" and Madame Mimi (a physic who predicts fates using said numbers). Andrew Elias creates three really engaging stories plus a wrap-around that somehow conceals any budget constraints they may have had. The time periods work well even on said budget and the actors are all really game. The 1980s segment revolving around a musician is a particular highlight - the actor comes across as very naturalistic and theres a brilliantly amusing scene in a bookstore.

Great scripting and direction from Andrew Elias - definitely want to check out what he does next.

Super anthology of supernatural!

Saw this at Horror On Sea FF and really enjoyed it - one of the best films I saw there. The short stories are all really nicely shot - I had one particular favourite in terms of writing, performances and general aesthetic - but they're all interesting enough to warrant a watch. Looks a lot more expensive than I'm guessing it was, and worth checking out!
