The episode overall isn't that bad, but I believe it was a terrible decision to send off Maggie Q's character.
All of the actual action which was taking place for a while now was only focused around her.
As a side note, why does Netflix force LGBTQ aspects into each and every one of their films or series? Don't get me wrong, I am not homophobic, but suddenly there is a huge trend in adding gay couples sex scenes into productions which are anything but erotic. I was very much enjoying this show's storyline, the intrigue, there was really no need to make it sexual...

I have a hard time caring about this season at all. The language is gratuitous. The villains are cheesy. Not only is there very little character development, but they're practically de-developing the characters. They don't even feel like the same people. Now they kill off a primary character in a way that feels cheap and unnecessary, and fail to even deliver on emotional impact. Aaron has been one of the few characters whose story is still interesting, and his speech was inspired, but the rest of the episode was just disappointing. I do like the transgender subplot because it's an important topic for Americans to address, but I hate that Kirkman's sister in law wasn't introduced till this season.
Only one problem I found with this episode

Shore brought an undocumented person into the US, and so therefore never had a social security number, but was somehow able to enlist and serve in the US Army? It would've been nice if the producers had stuck to factual government functions and what the actual requirements are for enlisting in the US military. Granted I understand this is a political thriller/political dramatization, I think it's always best to go with the authenticity that what's being portrayed resonates with how the government operates. Going with authenticity always makes TV shows and movies so much better and more relatable and helps viewers understand the government better.
First two seasons brilliant, third season lame woke lecturing TV
JWJanneck22 March 2023
This show is marked (and marred) by the split between the network seasons 1 and 2 and the Netflix season 3. The first two seasons were high-octane, action-packed and tense political drama, a kind of amalgam of West Wing and 24, during which the Maggie Q character quickly became the center of the action and also the moral focus. The third season was taken over by Netflix, which meant more filthy language (sometimes annoyingly so, because it seemed forced, and I'm quite a potty-mouth myself), and bizarre subplots as if the writers wanted to knock down items from a woke dictionary (we get everything: a gay black couple incl. HIV scare, a trans person, adultery, a woman and a call boy, latinx telenovela stuff, evil big pharma, the whole shebang including plenty allusions to contemporary politics which are likely to be appreciated more by those already on board with the politics of the writers) all this woke education completely buries everything that made the first two seasons great, i.e. The action and Maggie Q, (SMALL SPOILER AHEAD) whose character is dispatched unceremoniously and pointlessly in the process which also doesn't help this show. In short, Netflix took over a great, enjoyable how and then managed to completely run it into the ground in just a few short episodes. Kudos to the woke writers!
Wow. How Can This Be Resolved?

So much happens. The Vice Presidential candidate is made to pay for something he did as a 16 year old. By the way, I'm so sick of that petulant girlfriend of his. She has her own thing going. Another speech to turn the tide. We also have Hannah at the brewery. I won't throw a spoiler in here. Watch and ask yourself how things will progress from here.
Netflix Ruined It

Loved season 1 and 2 but Netflix absolutely ruined the show for me with season 3. First they remove half of the main characters (Lyor, Kendra, Chuck, and Mike), and then killed off Hannah??? Hannah was smart throughout the entirety of the series so to kill her off like this made no sense. Her character deserved so much better. I don't know who thought that killing Hannah off was a good idea but now I have no desire to continue to watch the rest of the series. Netflix made this amazing show into a dumpster fire. This really proves that this was just Netflix's way to make some quick money off the backs of a previously good show.
Bad Move

Killing off Maggie Q was the worst decision I have seen a series make in years - I have consistently given this series a 8 or 9 and have enjoyed it up until now . I could care less if Netflix renews this series now. There are too many good show runners out there to waste my time with an idiot - This of course wasn't done in a vacuum so I have to assume they were given the go ahead to be stupid by even bigger idiots - How to kill a series without really trying.

And maybe more...
Killing off Maggie Q who was the main reason for watching the show among everyone I know and has a huge fan base world wide, is the stupidest casting decision I've seen.
Any succesfull show needs a beautiful leading lady with a kick-ass personnality to keep viewers coming back
One, just one google search.

Warning: Spoilers
I know this show isn't all about getting the science right but my god they couldn't do one google search!
When Hanna is poisoned with "VX", it seems like they just pulled stuff out of their ass.
All it would have taken to know that not only was that scene wrong, was a google search.
Its so bad it went from not funny, to funny, back to not funny.
It's writing so lazy it makes teenagers look like workaholics, the insane lack of effort in this tv show is astonishing.

Finally!

Finally! Hannah Wells is dead. The character was completely ridiculous. And Maggie Q's acting was atrocious. Truly atrocious! So glad that character is dead.
The writing is particularly bad this season. Seems like the writers are more worried about pushing an ultra LIBERAL agenda that filmmaking.
Since I had to finish the series because I lost a bet (really), I can't wait until it's over.
