Have you wanted to make sure you’ve seen and heard all the classics? Well now there’s a way to do it without keeping a list or trying to constantly remember. You can head over to Firebox and pick up the 100 Movies Scratch Poster and the 100 Albums Scratch Poster. They’re the same concept, you watch the movie or listen to the album and then scratch off that little box to reveal some cool artwork. It’s a great way to show off what movies you’ve seen while also letting people know what else you need to watch. Plus, the artwork is perfect for sprucing up that barren wall.
Some of the movies include The Dark Knight, Blade Runner, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future, and more. The albums poster includes greats such as Dark Side of the Moon, Spice, Me Against the World, and more.

2017-06-29T15:09:11-07:00Kendall and Kylie Stop Selling Controversial T-Shirts
If Kendall and Kylie Jenner didn’t know, now they know.
The reality star duo launched new “vintage” black T-shirts on Wednesday: one that combined their faces with those of Notorious B.Ig. and Tupac Shakur and another that used Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” logo, neither of which went over well with fans.
The Jenner sisters were torn apart on Twitter for placing their faces over those of the rap icons — both of whom were killed around the time the ladies were born — and they have since removed images of themselves wearing the shirts from the Kendall + Kylie website and Instagram account.

What happens when you mix what is arguably the most experimental 11 minutes of David Lynch’s filmmaking career with the psychedelic chords of Pink Floyd? Buckle up, you’re about to find out.

Lynch fans are still buzzing over Sunday night’s landmark “Twin Peaks,” which became an instant classic hour of television thanks to a bravura extended sequence depicting nuclear testing in the New Mexico desert and what seemed like the birth of Bob and Laura Palmer. Like the best of David Lynch, the head-scratching plot specifics don’t matter as much as the sensory experience of watching his images unfold, and what terrifying, transfixing and totally mesmerizing images they were.

A straw poll of the average music fan on what the biggest British albums of all time are is likely to consist of: Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd; (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis; probably 21 by Adele; maybe Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits; Queen’s Greatest Hits Vol. 1, perhaps; but most definitely, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles. The latter of these has reached the grand old age of fifty, and so in way of celebration has been remastered and re-released in a sparkly new boxed set, which also includes a plethora of alternative recordings, outtakes and interviews, over four CDs and two DVDs and 100 minutes of extra footage. Imagine the 1995 release of The Beatles era defining anthology series, but focused purely on 1967. The release is also supported by a feature length documentary, directed by long time Beatles fan Alan G. Parker...

When you’re speaking to Roger Waters, there is no such thing as small talk. The mind responsible for some of the most ambitious productions in pop music history is constantly crackling with activity. Even seemingly innocuous questions, sure to elicit canned responses perfected over half a century of interviews, yield eloquent run-on sentences that jolt forward like a runaway train. The destination is often impossible to predict but, like his lyrics, the words are caustic, hilarious, cynical, hopeful and warm.

Now that its first season has wrapped, FX's Legion has to go down as the most audacious superhero show that any big-time TV network has ever attempted – which makes sense, given that it featured a character who's one of the oddest in the history of the X-Men comics. A scarily strong telekinetic mutant, David "Legion" Haller (played by Dan Stevens) has trouble distinguishing between his ability to read minds and the "hearing voices in your head" strain of mental illness. So even in the series' season finale, when David was...

Hellhounds. Lucifer vs. Crowley. Castiel’s choice.
So much went down on Supernatural Season 12 Episode 15, including Sam revealing to Dean he has been working with the British Men of Letters.
But was it all exciting? Did all those moments work?
TV Fanatic staff writers Sean McKenna and Christine Laskodi and The Winchester Family Business’ Alice and Nightsky get right into it to talk all about “Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell.”
So join in the latest Supernatural Round Table!
What was your favorite scene or quote?
Alice: The final scene with Sam and Dean. Honestly, given how slow and choppy the pacing of this episode was, I’m surprised I lasted that long.
It was a worthwhile scene, though. Sam didn’t have to fight hard to get Dean to come around about working with the British Men of Letters. After all, they work with Crowley, and they aren’t dead yet.

Never before has learning about animal ecosystems been quite so soothing, or quite so analogous to Dark Side of the Moon.
The Fondation Cartier Pour L’Art Contemporain, a contemporary art museum in Paris, has developed an interactive experience called The Great Animal Orchestra, developed by ecologist and musician Bernie Krause.

Monday night marks the moment armchair pundits everywhere have been waiting for: the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Rather than sitting back and letting the presidential candidates do all the talking, politically minded social media users took it upon themselves to join the conversation, offering up their sharpest commentary and funniest reactions - with GIFs aplenty - for all to see. The fun began in the hours leading up to the debate and continued throughout the 90-minute showdown, with celebrities, regular folks and the candidates themselves taking to Twitter and Instagram to share their feelings about the big event.

Grease creator Jim Jacobs has debunked one of the more bizarre fan theories around his beloved creation: Namely, that Sandy(Olivia Newton John) went into a coma in the drowning accident alluded to in "Summer Nights" and the entire film is a fantasy that takes place in her mind. The theory, which dates to a three-year-old Reddit thread, was recently given a bump in visibility by Sarah Michelle Gellar, who posted a summary of it to her Facebook. Basically, it takes its cues from two moments in the film: The line Danny (John Travolta) sings about saving Sandy's life when...

The band’s drummer later joked their album was really based.

Transformers: The Last Knight is the official title for the 5th movie in the exhaustingly long-running Hasbro series. Now the question remains, "who is the 'Last Knight'?"
Could it be Optimus Prime? The last time we saw him in Transformers: Age of Extinction he was flying up to space to take on the "Robot Overlords". Plus, the instagram post of his face really makes you believe that that's what Director Michael Bay and Paramount want you to think. Although, they have a vast history of throwing curve balls at audiences. Hence, Grimlock and the mute Dino-knights.

Over the past couple years, Deorro has sent some mixed messages to electronic music fans. For starters, the electro house DJ/producer and Panda Funk label head announced his retirement from touring in 2014, only to keep performing throughout the world without a noticeable break in his schedule.
And then there’s the matter of his debut album. Deorro had been working on the effort two years ago, but had to shelve it due to logistical issues that he alleges required him to start over from scratch. Even now, although he claims that only a few finishing touches are required to complete it, his upcoming album still has no title.
Fortunately, Deorro has made himself available to set the record straight on these and other matters. He recently sat down with us during Miami Music Week to discuss the his career and give us behind-the-scenes insight regarding his record label, Panda Funk.

Pink Floyd’s album Dark Side Of The Moon is arguably one of the best rock albums of all time. In addition to the transformative and alternative nature of the album itself, Dark Side is also known for having a strange connection to the world of film. It was discovered decades ago that playing the album whilst watching The Wizard of Oz would result in 40 minutes of perfectly synced and eerily appropriate coincidence. Well, it appears that this is also the case for the latest film in the Star Wars saga. A reddit user called knnl somehow got his hands on a home copy of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and noticed a ton of crazy coincidences when experimenting with playing Dark Side Of The Moon. You apparently have to start the album after the famous Star Wars crawl, where the First Order’s shuttles fly over ...

"True Detective" Season 2 just got hate-watched into the ground. The 1.5-hour finale aired last night, and Twitter was ready with knives. Maybe expectations were too high after Season 1, but from the first episode, fans were confused, disappointed, confused, depressed, still confused, and bored. When the series ended, there was still mass confusion and disappointment.
To be fair, there are some TD2 defenders out there -- fans who claim to have liked the plot, characters, tone and finale resolution, with some arguing that the haters were just too dumb to follow along or forgot that Season 1 was also pretentious and incomprehensible. But some of defenders just seem to want to pride themselves on swimming against the stream, while some of the critics just seem to want to pride themselves on coming up with clever insults.
Either way, the result was an onslaught of (sometimes hilarious) opinions during the finale's airing. #TrueDetectiveSeason...

Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970) is an obscure fantasia from the fading days of the Czech New Wave. One could argue that its obscurity was richly deserved and that it unfortunately may end now with the release of this new Criterion Blu-ray. The film is a bewildering, at times amateurish, amalgam of the very worst instincts of David Hamilton and Ken Russell mixed with a barrage of B movie horror cliches. And those are some of the best scenes. In between there’s much fret over some magic necklace or earrings or something, and Valerie’s grandparents and/or parents – it’s hard to tell them apart – and a cloaked figure who flits about looking like a hybrid of Nosferatu and Darth Vader. Sorry this synopsis is not more coherent, but this reviewer’s eyes had glazed over long before the film reached its conclusion.

A rescoring of Drive has caused online outrage, but Mark's keeping an open mind about musical reinterpretations
Movie music matters. It's tough to wax lyrical about why it matters without sounding like one of those autocue scripts that we'll be hearing all throughout the coming awards season, probably read out by unlikely pairs of presenters, (“Now, to present the award for Best Sound Editing, Justin Bieber and Angela Lansbury!”) so let's just say that it does.
Whether it's an original score from Hans Zimmer or a jukebox tour of Quentin Tarantino's record collection, a movie's soundtrack informs the tone and timbre of the movie itself. So when we get into the question of movie rescores, we're really getting back into that thorny issue of asking whether the director's original intentions are sacrosanct to any subsequent versions of a film. Pink Floyd has had numerous starts and stops over the decades, but the legendary band may finally be nearing the end of their epic journey. Singer/guitarist David Gilmour says that the group's upcoming "The Endless River" -- their first album in over 20 years -- will likely be their last studio effort. Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason are the only original members left from their commercial peak in the 1970s when they released such endearingly iconic albums as "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall." Founding member Roger Waters exited the group in 1985 and keyboardist Rick Wright passed away in 2008, although some of his work will be heard on the upcoming album. In an interview with BBC, Gilmour explained, "Well, Rick is gone. This is the last thing that’ll be out from us." "Yes, I’m pretty certain there will not be any follow up to this," he later elaborated.

It's difficult to think of a film that has inspired more urban legends than Victor Fleming's 1939 children's classic The Wizard of Oz. Depending on who you believe, Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon syncs perfectly with the action (not true), the production was cursed with a series of horrendous accidents (true), and the Munchkins were all shag-happy party animals (also untrue, but a favourite talk show gag of star Judy Garland). Perhaps the tall tales have something to do with the hellish shoot, which involved five directors and at least 15 writers, or maybe it's because The Wizard of Oz is watched by a lot of stoned people.
What many don't seem to realise is that The Wizard Of Oz is itself a remake. L Frank Baum's original 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz (the first in a series of more than a dozen books) was filmed...

Head down to Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood Thursday August 7th where Pink Floyd The Wall screens at at 7pm.
Pink Floyd The Wall is a feature length music video filmed in an era when those were something a bit more interesting than the video wallpaper we see today. It tells the story of Pink, a rock star who is really an amalgam of Pink Floyd’s founding members Syd Barrett and Roger Waters, as well as some other rock stars Waters had met or heard about.
The movie is about his decension into madness. He is unable to cope with his father’s death in WWII, his mother who paid little or no attention to him, his “conveyor belt” schooling of facelessness, all the...

Last week, we celebrated both the 45-year anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, and what would have been the 86th birthday of filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. While those things might seem completely unrelated to most of us, conspiracy theorists have seen a link for years, claiming we never actually landed on the moon and that the government hired Kubrick to film the fake moon landing here on Earth. While French filmmaker William Karel is not a moon-landing denier, he’s not above having a little fun with the idea of Kubrick being the visual genius who duped the entire world into believing that we actually walked on the surface of that floating white orb in the sky. Karel’s Dark Side of the Moon is a 2002 parody that posits that Kubrick did indeed film the fake moon...

Michael Bay’s latest and loudest, “Transformers: Age of Extinction” (our review) crashes into theaters nationwide tomorrow which means now’s a good time to catch up with the first three entries in the Bay-helmed franchise. But, instead of potentially wasting your day away on the turgid trilogy, why not let the guys over at Red Letter Media watch the movies for you…. all at the same time. In the nearly twelve-minute long video, the three hosts of Red Letter Media sit through the entireties of “Transformers,” “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon” as they play across three screen and the results are pretty crazy. The main takeaway from the little experiment is how closely the structures of the film hew to each other. Story beats across the films — like when Shia LeBeouf’s character is first introduced — happen within seconds of each...

Exclusive: The UK’s Framestore and producer David P. Kelly are set to partner on a $5m Mexican Cold War feature Lunik III, pitched at this week’s Moscow Business Square (Mbs).
Speaking exclusively to ScreenDaily, producer Victor Zavala Kugler of Jade Films said the English-language project was being pitched for the first time in Moscow since being introduced at the market in Guadalajara earlier this year
Kelly and Framestore’s animation supervisor Max Solomon first met Kugler and the film’s writer-director Antonio Zavala Kugler during the four-day event in Moscow.
¨We have a co-production agreement between Mexico and the UK, and the UK can work with Russia through the European Convention, so we don’t have to wait for an agreement between Mexico and Russia,¨ Kugler said.
¨It would be a very organic co-production, there are no bolts in the structure,¨ Kelly observed.
¨We will shoot the film in Mexico and work with David on accessing...

Warning: contains spoilers for Supernatural season nine.
A few weeks ago, Den of Geek reviewed the backdoor pilot for a potential Supernatural spin-off, Bloodlines. We were, shall we say, unimpressed, and it seems that opinion was shared by – well, everybody. In an astounding and almost unprecedented turn of events, the Supernatural fandom was united in its opinion: the spin-off was utterly lacklustre, mostly because it had very little to do with its parent show. In the days since the review was written, we received an onslaught of comments agreeing with this preliminary evaluation of Bloodlines.
It’s since been announced the CW will not be going ahead with the spin-off, quite possibly causing the fandom to breathe a collective sigh of relief. But, despite the seemingly ubiquitous dislike for this backdoor pilot,...

In light of Supernatural’s traumatic season 9 finale, which [spoiler alert] saw the death — and demon-izing — of Dean Winchester, EW staffers Sandra Gonzalez and Samantha Highfill ranked the Winchester brothers’ top 10 deaths.
Yes, the boys have died a lot.
10. Sam Struck By Lightning (season 4, episode 8)
Sandra: I honestly didn’t remember this as a “death” until you brought it up, and I think it’s because it was played for laughs.
Sam: I know. I forgot about it until I googled deaths. I don’t even remember how he “came back to life.” Clearly it didn’t impact me.

My new favorite filmmaker is the American animator Jodie Mack. In 2012 I was in the audience at the Views from the Avant-Garde sidebar of the New York Film Festival and had the unexpected experience of dropping my jaw and having it remain fully in that position throughout the surface loveliness and aggregating intensity—both analytic and sensual—of Mack's lace flicker film Point de Gaze. Its young filmmaker has been making films since 2003—several of which are viewable on her website—with a flurrying productivity which belays the painstaking efforts taken to bring her animated films to life. The screening was the revelation of incredible talent, a moving effort of hands and mind, and it promised a great deal for the future.
That promise had already paid off in spades at the 2014 International Film Festival Rotterdam in January, which presented a program of Mack's recent short films not as a profile,...

We know it's tough, but try to take Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's perfect body out of the equation when considering whether you love or hate this zebra print dress. Any success? We didn't think so. We're just as confused by our thoughts on this Balmain mini. On the one hand, it looks like something out of The Lion King on Broadway. But on the other hand, the Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon star looks so hot in it that we can't say make it stop! Minus the Ott animal print, this is just a basic, long-sleeved cocktail frock with the world's shortest hemline. The long sleeves keep it slightly more sophisticated, and we're even fans of the higher neckline. This English beauty rocks...

Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first stills of Li Bingbing in “Transfomers: Age of Extinction.” Set four years after the events of 2011′s “Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon,” the Autobots and Decepticons have all since vanished from Earth. However, that all changes when a struggling inventor named Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) unexpectedly discovers a buried Transformer. Bingbing plays Su Yueming, the CEO of the Transformers manufacturing group in China. Also starring are Nicola Peltz as Yeager’s teenage daughter Tessa, Jack Reynor as her romantic interest Shane, Stanley Tucci as robot designer Joshua, and Kelsey Grammer as the villainous Harold [...]

Pere Cuadrado is not having a good time. He got roughed up a bit the day before in Madrid’s General Strike, and he’s got the bruises to prove it. Pere seems like the sort who’s always mad about something, but in being a part of the General Strike, he’s not alone. In Demonstration, 33 directors head out into the streets of Madrid on March 29, 2012 and capture a huge day of protest called upon by two of Spain’s leading unions about the government’s proposed tax increases and budget cuts. Is it possible that so many eyes can make sense of the outrage and violence of several hundred thousand people in the streets of one Spanish city? That’s tough to say.

Cameron Diaz is living out every female celeb's worst nightmare. She's wearing the same outfit as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley—after Rosie wore it. There may be no greater fashion hell. Of course The Body Book author has just an enviable a shape as the Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon actress, but that just makes the battle of who wore it best trickier. But if this is a question of who had more fun wearing it, the answer is obviously The Other Woman star. Since the Isabel Marant one-piece is such a simple, black design, we have to judge on accessories and overall styling. The British beauty chose a classic tan overcoat and Jackie O glasses with equally sophisticated hair. The Cali native went in the...

Yes, there’s another trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the anxiously awaited franchise mash-up which is technically a fourquel, a sequel, an interquel, and a prequel — not to mention the much-discussed possibility among cultural scientists that the film may technically be a requel, since it rewrites the franchise’s own internal history and may cover previously explored ground. (See also: Jj Abrams’ Star Trek, the 1955 scenes of Back to the Future 2, the epilogue of Bourne Supremacy which is also the act-3 kickoff for Bourne Ultimatum.)
