Not entirely unbelievable.
timmoss-2638721 November 2021
I don't understand the reasoning behind some of the reviews for this film. It's fiction,so relating it to real life events is to no purpose.

For me,it was reminiscent of 'Threads',in that it posited the idea of a devastating event which changed everyday life in a bad way, though with contemporary ideas:technology rather than nuclear devastation.

The acting was good for the most part and it did not rely on spectacular special effects.

Instead,it acheived an extremely chilling effect as the story unfolded gradually.

I,for one,was left feeling that the scenario was not entirely unbelievable.

It engrossed me sufficiently to recommend it to anyone who thinks seriously about the state of our world and it's implications.

Wait, what?
mikemdp27 October 2019
The preposterous premise of "Dragon Day," also known as "Invasion Day," is that the United States owes so much money to China that the Chinese just decide to invade.

By secretly placing malicious code into every electronic product manufactured in China, it effectively shuts down all communication, transportation, banking, etc.

What would China have to gain by coming into our country and ruining it, virtually guaranteeing we'd never be able to pay them back?

Now, because this movie cost less than your sofa to make, we aren't supposed to ask questions like that.

Actually, we don't see this invasion play out on the world stage at all.

No joke, this entire movie is about how the invasion of the United States by the People's Republic of China affects one guy and his family in their Oregon vacation home.

They get assaulted by hillbillies! They get threatened by cops! They run out of Coca-Cola!

Check it: There's one Chinese guy in this whole movie, and ironically he never meets this family.

One time, two starving kids knock on the door, and they each get handed a potato. That's it. You never see those kids again.

You'll just be going, "Wait, what?" at every turn of the plot, but you won't be able to take your eyes off it. This movie is like that weirdo bag lady who gets on the subway talking to herself, and your mom says, "Don't stare!" But you do. Because you can't not.

Good idea, lack luster execution
cwhiteh29 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I'll say right off the bat that I'm spoiled by big budget cinema and I never watch low budget movies. With that said, I thought I'd give this movie a chance as the idea intrigued me. I'm prior military, law enforcement and an early adopter, techie. I'm a fan of "prepper" shows and I've often considered the repercussions natural disasters, cyber terrorism, zombie like viruses, etc., would have on modern day life and the role I'd play as a first responder. I watched about half of this movie and I started to skip ahead but never found a point where I could watch for more than a couple of minutes and so I finally withdrew. My main issue with the movie wasn't the mediocre acting or the bad editing but the obvious technical errors and script.

***spoiler alert*** First off, the movie doesn't explain whether or not the protagonist was an NSA employee or a sub contractor. It appears he is laid off but even before that he has overdue bill notices lying around. Having credit issues is an automatic red flag for someone with a security clearance and would be a reason for termination not a lay off. It should have clearly indicated that he was NSA and that he was laid off (like 90% of SysAdmins in real life earlier this year). This could of led to a downward spiral where we could of seen some emotion.

The next issue I had was the "visit" to his father's cabin. It seemed like a day trip or vacation, but the foreclosure sign suggested otherwise. Maybe there was a thought of selling the property but I didn't get that. Addressing these issues could of lead to some character development, maybe some flashbacks of the protagonist with his father being lectured about the dangers of "technology". The movie pushes too fast to get to "doomsday" and tries to hit on too many topics therein (loss of tech, loss of government, social DE-evolution, etc. It leaves you unattached to the characters and ask more questions than it answers.

I also had an issue with the attack. Planes start crashing, cars shut off mid drive and the electricity goes out. Vehicles that predate computer chips continue to drive. This suggest an EMP. However, after the cars "shut down", the ignition still had power and the starters attempted to send the spark. I'm no expert, but it seems a complete electronic shut down would have been more realistic. Also, the vehicles in the area, would have all suffered the break down simultaneously, not hours after each other. That leads me to the scene where the Sheriff commandeers the old truck. Would he really have taken the time to arrest the protagonist?

Also, why did "the renter" hide in the closet when the family arrived at the house? Was it because he was paying rent to a dead guy? The scene indicated that the Sheriff and his deputy (not "officer" as the actor calls him) were racist implying that the renter was illegal. That scene only served to waste time and further stereotypes.

On to the more technical issues. Even if a cyber terrorist network hacked and completely gained access to "all" cell phone networks, there wouldn't be a splash screen instantaneously displayed. Nor would there be one on a laptop before even booting (I really dislike it when Hollywood pulls stuff like that. Even my 12 year old knew that was fake). And why would the protagonist smash the phones? Simply removing the battery would disable GPS, if they had a signal in the mountains to begin with. Later, instead of using the cell or laptop batteries he wires hundreds of potatoes together in order to "fix" the transistor radio. That was laughable and reminded me of 4th grade science projects from the 70's.

The wristband of death was another unbelievable add on I could of done without. At any rate, I could go on and on. I really wish they would have put more thought into these issues and spent more time in making me care about the characters.

Overall, Hollywood needs to make this movie with about a 50 million budget and a realistic script.

bad all around
kbrooks5118 September 2013
This movie was bad all around. The acting was terrible and timing was bad. cinematography timing and quality all bad. Story as it progressed was unbelievable and unrealistic. script was just really, really bad. unsuccessful knockoff of red dawn. This really was one of the worst movies I watched this year but it was all I had. I have seen sci-fi channel movies that were better than this. Watch it if you want but you won't get that time back. I don't even know what else to say about it to take up the remaining ten lines. I guess if you are really bored you could watch it and be entertained by how bad it is. Some people are into that kind of thing...

Dog Pile of a Movie
parks-864-5136067 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
If there was only a way to give zero stars, I would have.

The Blu-Ray DVD arrived yesterday, and my son and I sat down to watch it last night. We'd been anticipating this movie, because the concept behind it (Chinese cyberattack against the US) seemed very interesting, and the trailer was cool(ish).

Horrible acting, abysmal, wandering script, and nonsensical technical explanations of the attack.

We ended up having fun anyway, because we just switched from "let's watch this cool new movie" mode to "let's make fun of this piece of XXXX movie" mode. As something to poke fun at, it has some value. Otherwise, I would have just turned it off.

What's the Chinese character for "mind-numbingly appalling"?
razvan_alexandru11 December 2013
The good people of the P.R. of C. suddenly decide they've just about had it with the U.S. of A.'s outstanding debt and subsequently pull the proverbial rug from under their feet by activating some secret backdoor that renders all Chinese microprocessor powered machinery useless. America grinds to a halt, the Chinese starve them into submission, chaos ensues. Blah. Blah.

As if the underlying premise wasn't idiotic enough, the acting, the directing and the editing made short work of everything else. Rarely have I ever seen a movie as lame and as pitiful as "Dragon Day".

In a twisted sort of way, I'm actually glad I soldiered on until the end as sure enough the ending was the icing on the cake, with the protagonist once again resorting to an act of unspeakable stupidity involving a (Chinese made, I'll bet) power tool. You HAVE GOT to see it to believe it.

The fact that garbage such as this actually gets funded is in and of itself far more of a threat to America's integrity than anything an enemy could conjure up from the outside.

It's still your money. You just can't have it right now.

Warning: Spoilers
Duke (Ethan Flower) gets laid off from his NSA job. He moves into his grandfather's mountain home, only to find out it is rented out to a Mexican (Eloy Méndez). About the same time the US defaults on our loan to China and the next thing you know, planes are dropping out of the sky. This is Y2K bug on steroids. Duke, with the help of an old time neighbor, (William Knight) work to survive against no TV, no phones, no new cars operational, and every man suddenly becomes a rapist.

As dad tries to save the world, mom (Åsa Wallander) whines he doesn't spend enough time with his daughter (Hope Laubach). They run out of food about the same time his sister (Jenn Gotzon) announces... "the toilets are out of water!!!!"

The US falls into a police state with "citizens" wearing controlling wrist bands just like the preppers predicted. Americans freely side with the Chinese Communists....for a nifty red wrist band. Not as good as a Nokia concept phone, but hey, it makes the arm.

This is a low budget "Red Dawn" light, that has so many plot holes, the movie is ridiculous. At the end, during the most serious scene of the film, as Duke makes a hard decision, I was laughing at the MST quality.

Parental Guide: F-bomb. Off screen rape. No nudity.

Top Ten Worst Movies Ever
boyle19842 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Let me start by saying I joined IMDb today just to leave this review. I decided to do this after I noticed that 70 something people gave this film a rating of 10. Clearly these people are the cast/crew and their friends. You people have no shame. This movie is terrible, I haven't seen the like since Troll 2. It is amazingly terrible, although it was incredibly hilarious for me to watch, and I may do it again.

The first thing I noticed was that the cinematography was akin to surveillance footage or an old home movie, and it was clear the camera operator had no clue what he/she was doing. I was then rudely interrupted by the blank expressions, and forced dialog between the characters. In one scene the little girl and her aunt are watching the city burn. I believe the intention here was to have the girl cling to her aunt for comfort so you could see the vulnerability of the young girl. What I saw instead was the girl looking very uncomfortable being forcefully pressed against the body of a stranger.

Everything I've mentioned so exists in tons of movies, especially ones about America collapsing. I would have never felt the need to leave this review if it weren't for the most glaringly terrible thing about this movie. The writing. I could sit here and tell about you some hilarious quotes from the movie, but there are so many, and really you should just watch it for yourself.

The plot however, is amazing. It's based on some sort of misplaced paranoia about Chinese electronics. What happens is the Chinese government decides to collect on our "debt" to them, and they do this by shutting down all electronics that have Chinese chips, which the author assumes are in every vehicle or device manufactured since 1976. First let me say this is impossible even if the Chinese were putting back-doors on their chips. Second we don't owe China anything, they own American bonds. It's like owning stock in our country, if we do good their bonds are worth more and they do good. For this and other reasons if they destroyed American consumerism they would destroy themselves.

Another hilarious thing about this story were the wristbands that you are supposed to wear after the "invasion". When you put them on your wrist they instantly know your name, and if you walk 100ft away from your house after 3pm your wrist will "start burning", then somehow you die. I'm assuming they are supposed to be killed by electrocution, but whats up with the "burning" that happens for like 3 min before they die? Why doesn't the bracelet just electrocute them? Probably has to do with the fact that batteries don't have enough amperage to kill someone. They would get shocked, maybe burned, then the thing would shut off because the battery would die. Anyway, how are you supposed to charge those things when you can't take them off. Just sit by the outlet 6hrs a day I guess.

All in all I do actually feel bad for the guy who wrote, directed, and produced this movie, but come on man, you should have never picked up a pen. Also you and your crew are scum for giving this movie a 10. I know even you don't believe it deserves that. Anyway at this point you should be marketing this as an intentionally bad movie or a comedy. You'd probably get this movie more attention if you gave it the rating it deserves.

Good low budget movie
shawn40046 September 2013
What a great story. This movie has the storyline of a big budget movie. Definitely worth watching.

Now, I have to say that the acting was a bit spotty. It wasn't uniformly great, but pretty good nonetheless. Largely, the problem with the acting was bad timing, and I don't think that was the actor's faults. There were scenes where the cinematography was a bit off and editing could have been better. The action scenes were a bit stifled and could have done with better choreography. There was definitely a place for some big action and explosions, but this movie (I'm assuming because of a constrained budget) didn't go that route. But, again, overall a good movie. This is one of those low budget movies that could be really successfully remade into a blockbuster. That said, this movie stands head and shoulders above other low budget movies I've seen.

In short: Worth watching.

Good premise, misses the mark on lots of things.
Jay_Jay266414 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler alert. It starts out slow but interesting but then becomes annoying. The father who works for NSA, is laid off, and leaves for the country with wife and daughter. They arrive at a small town all the ATM machines are down. Then planes fall out of the sky, and no TV reception. The POTUS comes on emergency broadcasting and says Chinese have attacked. The father goes berserk and panics, the mother goes berserk, the sister gets raped, and they over act through it all.

Even the guy that's suppose to be in the know, the NSA guy, says things like China is a 5000 year old empire we are a new country. That 5000 years of Chinese people living there have had a multitude of different governments. They didn't do their research.

The acting is not bad except for the two main leads, are over the top.

waste of time
alec-817-76300214 October 2013
Rarely do I not see a film through to the end, and I watch a lot. This was awful.

The acting was very bad which is sad as the story line had promise. It was different and potentially possible. It wasn't just one bad actor but pretty much all of them. The only partially decent actors were the daughter and sister but they had small parts.

Can't give it more than 1. I skipped through to the end to see how it ended as I hate not knowing! If you are buying it to watch....save your money. If you have nothing better to do and it's free then maybe with a couple of beers you won't notice!

A cyber hack takes out America
Woodyanders19 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Former NSA engineer Duke Evans (a solid and likeable performance by Ethan Flower) and his family must fight to survive in a small mountain town after a massive cyber attack causes America to completely fall apart.

Director/co-writer Jeffrey Travis relates the gripping story at a steady pace, maintains a grimly serious tone throughout, generates a good deal of tension, and presents a starkly chilling depiction of a world thrown into total chaos and disorder. The sturdy acting from the capable cast helps a lot: Asa Wallander as Duke's distraught wife Leslie, Jenn Gotzon as the perky Rachel, Eloy Mendez as helpful illegal immigrant Alonso, Hope Laubach as cute daughter Emma, William Knight as feisty old coot Albert Grimes, Dennis Delsing as ruthless fascist Sheriff Watson, and Scoot McNairy as slimy traitor Phil. A neat little movie.

A very realistic invasion concept, slow pace, average acting. Decent film overall
thesociety7 September 2013
Low budget films can flop if they start too slow, but this one has some pace. The story was very intelligent, not overly complicated. The plot was simple, believable and no obvious holes. The directing was very good, give Mr. Travis a real budget :). The acting was average to decent, except the wife (Wallander), who's expressions at times left me confused to irritated. Maybe that's what she was going for.

The best part of the movie is the concept and plot. I'm a fan of IT as well as lo-tech, and who doesn't think about what you would do if things went sour. This has it all, and watching it you might learn a few things. It really makes you think.

Not wasted time at all, I was pleasantly surprised and would watch it again if friends ask.

Really?
benefsanem27 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I actually was enjoying the movie, until I realized that it was a mere regurgitation of the old Yellow Peril xenophobia tripe that rears its ugly head in American cinema from time to time. As an American of Asian descent, I certainly felt as though the finger was being pointed at me for America's economic woes. What did I do?

Really? The wicked Chinese want to take over America? Can't you do better than that? I'm glad I did not go to the theater to watch this - I certainly would have left the theater, if only to ensure my safety in a roomful of folks who had just watched a movie that plays up to every villainous, yellow peril, xenophobic stereotype in the book. The one clever thing about the movie was that it achieved this without actually resorting to using an arch-villain Asian character - now that was unusual. Maybe this shows up in the sequel.

Waste of Time
paq55285 August 2014
I have never given such a low rating before, but this movie had no redeeming factors and it therefore deserved such a dubious distinction.

The acting was complete cardboard with most of the time my wishing the main characters would get killed off since they were so annoying. To add to the distaste, the characters simply weren't believable either.

Add to that an extremely poor plot with more holes than my grandfather's underwear, with a great big dollop of the incredulity bred of a hundred plot points where you yourself could think your way out of it or it simply wasn't feasible, and you honestly have a sincere waste of time.

Paranoid anti-Chinese hogwash
ddstretch23 May 2021
This film was so bad even it could not achieve the greatness of, say, Plan 9 from Outer Space. The acting was wooden, the storyline was ridiculously unrealistic and yet it did show the extent to which America relies on the country it currently vilifies. This is a film that, consciously or not, will contribute to intensified international tensions because it appeals against rationality in favour of scapegoats identified via a naive and childish prejudice. Watch it, but pay no attention to it.

Good idea, BAD execution
louisesingleton8 May 2014
Thought this film was a good idea when I read about it and thought something like this could happen, but wished I hadn't spent my time. That's time I can never get back. It may be a low budget film but it looks cheap and the acting is so bad that acting seriously can't be their day job. I think the child and the horse are probably the best actors in it. One thing I can't believe though is how I managed to sit and watch this tripe. I guess I was hoping it would get better......but it didn't.

I usually look on here first before watching a movie but I didn't with this one, suppose that'll teach me.

GIVE IT A MISS!!!!!!!!!

What Red Dawn didn't have the guts to be
berniebosma3 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Slow at times and at one time looking like the beginnings of the usual post-apocalyptic re-hash, but came out completely different. The usual American movies can't entertain the possibility that the people will largely roll over and accept occupation. There always has to be the triumphant fight-back.

Here, it's a story of surrender and obey, with references to the current US debt debacle. The focus is on one family not yielding, but not being in a position to fight back either, so escape is the only option.

Although at the end a spanner is thrown into the occupiers machinery.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!
scowhig-7963726 August 2021
I stumbled upon this movie on Prime and the trailer caught my interest so I thought 🤷‍♀️ Why not? I am SO glad I did!!!! I thought the the cast and acting was amazing especially for the fact it was more of a "low budget film" and the story to me seemed right on point with "What could be".... Then I realized this movie was made in 2013!!!!!! If this is not a possible foreshadowing of what is to come, I don't know what is!!!!!! All I can recommend is to open up your mind and allow for other visions of what could possibly be into your awareness.

Please open your eyes before it's too late. I will get off my soapbox and kindly extend my hope that you will enjoy this movie as much as I did.

It might sound outlandish but it's not
draciron31 March 2023
The basic plot is that the Chinese use their technological advantages to bring down the US. , This idea might sound fanciful but the fact is the threat is real enough that there was a fake congressional inquiry into it. Back door code HAS been found in Chinese chips. The bigger threat however is Chinese and Pakistani guest workers. Few Defense projects happen without using subcontractors who subcontract work to companies employing Chinese, Russian and Pakistani employees. Indian subcontractors are also a risk. Some of these are intelligence agents for hostile governments and corporate spies, specifically there to steal technology. That and put back doors in our core infrastructure. This is a HUGE national security problem.

A key element of the movie is Americans turning against this country to aid China. The Antifa/BLM protests make it loud and clear how many Americans would do exactly that. Every person you saw burning or stomping on an American flag in those protests and online videos would happily put on the red bracelets shown in the movie. Do it without any coercion at all.

The acting isn't especially good, and the camera work isn't Hollywood quality. The spews on the national debt come off as tin foil conspiracy the way it's presented. Our debt is indeed a real problem, but it's not as cut and dried as presented.

The real take away from the movie should be how many people who live in the US and many even have US citizenship, many born here, who would turn on the US in a heartbeat. Those who cheered on or even tolerated big stars bad mouthing the US overseas are a great example of people who'd line up for Chinese citizenship. Then there are the apolitical who would sign up for anything long as it kept them fed and secure.

There are Hollywood style mistakes. For example no programmer was consulted when it came to the "back door code". You do not write something that complex in pure assembler. Nor would you spend ten minutes fixing it like that. That code would be tens of thousands of lines and if they had the source they wouldn't need him to fix it. Any programmer with source code and a little time can decipher any program. Even if you did not have the source, one could reverse engineer it from the binaries.

There are gaffes. For example in one scene the kid is going potty right next to a pond full of water. Then later in the story everyone is dying of thirst.

Overall the story is very interesting even if it's B grade action, acting and special effects. The warning should ring loudly. By outsourcing our technology and importing workers we are destroying our nation's independence and ability to compete.

Microsoft GAVE China the source code to Windows. Yet China uses Linux on all it's secure government computers. The US does not have the source code to Windows, and uses Windows on some of it's secure computers. That is begging to be hacked, and just one of many signs of how negligent the US government and large corporations are in cyber security. Just to make it interesting, Pakistanis wrote substantial portions of the code used in Windows. Pakistan and China are very cozy allies at this time. Continued use of guest workers by Microsoft makes it yet easier to introduce back doors that even Microsoft is not aware of. Microsoft places back doors in every product and has made China fully aware of them. So even if the chips were not a problem, any system running Windows would be.

The bigger warning is the division in the US is so deep that some have come to believe patriotism itself is evil. Globalism and Socialism would lead many to turn on this nation The alienation of so many voter blocks in the DNC from the nation as exemplified by kneeling at the National anthem and derogatory remarks about the US made by so many entertainers and athletes makes it clear that any invasion of the US would be aided by a very large number of people living here. Something that hasn't escaped the notice of the Russians and Chinese who have quietly funded groups like BLM/Antifa, the Reconquistador movement, and other anti-American groups/movements.

Something not presented in the movie is the high level of infiltration in US high ranking politicians by Chinese and Russian agents. 3 times in the last decade Chinese agents have been caught deep in the confidence of very high ranking Democrats. Twice caught sneaking classified information stolen from those politicians. A number of Republican groups have been linked to Russian and Saudi money. A number of Democrats linked to Iranian money. So you have to question what you hear from politicians or on the news as to whether it's propaganda paid for by the Chinese, Russians or Iranians or real. What's scarier is the odd twist of search terms you have to use to find the articles substantiating these claims. Microsoft, Google and Yahoo all bury information that is embarrassing to China. The articles by reputable sources are still out there. You just have to do some digging to find them. For example articles about the Chinese spy who drove Fienstien around for a decade, all the while collecting information from being around her while she sat on some of the highest level security committees are still out there. You just have to jiggle the search a bit to find them.

I am a certified computer security specialist CISSP among other security certs with over 20 years of experience as a programmer and security analyst. When I say the premise of the movie is not so far fetched I am doing so with some expertise on the matter.

So Bad It's Good, an Absolute HOWLER!
seanmurrayi30 November 2016
Oh man, any 'Simpsons' fans here remember that Y2K Halloween short where even a MILK CARTON goes wonky because "it contains a computer chip," just like everything else? This movie just about stretches the same goofy generalizations as the basis for its own premise while neglecting the fact that it works best as a JOKE and complete FARCE. They expect to be taken seriously here.

This film's chief assertion is that EVERYTHING containing a computer chip is "Made in China", and the Chinese have pretty much been preparing to one day destroy America through these chips ever since Richard Nixon's visit to the country in the early 1970's.

Even the Samsung Galaxy smartphone that was manufactured in South Korea, which I'm currently typing up this review on, contains nonexistent Chinese components that both the filmmakers and conspiracy theorists lapping all this up want to believe could one day cripple America. "Plausible, intriguing premise," my butt!

If anybody truly believes in this movie's nonsense, rest assured that the biggest portion of US debt is created by national defense spending (which, thankfully, is not outsourced to China) and using the production output from those sectors to continue fighting pointless wars in desert. China has no reason to get involved in our debt when they can just sit back and wait for the US military industrial complex to collapse and eat itself.

And don't even get me started on the goddamn wristbands...

I haven't had so much fun ripping into a film's sincerest efforts to be taken seriously with so many logically unsound premises since I first watched 'Johnny Mnemonic'. This movie really is THAT idiotic.

Interesting (and terrifying) concept ruined by WAY too many stereotypes and cliches
Nyssareen_7712 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This could have been a great movie. The concept of China deciding to take over the US by using our dependence on their tech to run everything is chilling in its simplicity. However, beyond the initial concept and setup, the movie quickly devolved into a collection of overused stereotypes.

You've got your overweight rural sheriff who is so used to his cushy life he doesn't even bat an eyelash when some unseen Chinese someone becomes his boss, then revels in his new-found absolute authority over everyone. You've got your typical white-trash militia types who, at the first sign of any kind of trouble, start terrorizing the area, shooting, looting, and attempting to rape every female they come across. The old patriot (who seems to be claiming to have fought in WWII, despite being a good 20 years too young for that) who is perfectly happy to throw in with our "heroes" but ultimately proves to be of no use whatsoever. The Mexican immigrant with a heart of gold who is perfectly happy to do anything and everything the "heroes" ask of him, even though he can't understand them and they can't understand him. He communicates that he has a family, but makes no attempt to get back to them when suddenly the SHTF. The numerous US military folks who seem to have no qualms at all about suddenly working for The People's Republic, rather than the US. And our "heroes." A supposedly brilliant tech guy fired from the NSA who proves to be almost completely useless in every sense of the word. While our gormless tech genius is doing his best to find out what is going on and how to get resources without capitulating to the People's Republic sheriff, all his useless wife can do is whine and complain that he's not reading enough stories to their daughter. And, rounding it all out, is the obligatory, but completely characterless child who whines when necessary and conveniently disappears the rest of the time. Most of the "conflict" is predictable and boring. The whole issue of wearing the red "citizen freedom bands" just ends up feeling like the 15 minute-long fight in They Live (1988) over whether or not someone puts on a pair of sunglasses, but is even less worthwhile a use of your time. This is just a small sample of the massive collection of stereotypes and cliches that make up this 95 minute snooze-fest. There are soooooo many plot holes it would take another 95 minutes to even try to point them out. Suffice to say this movie makes Swiss cheese look solid, it's so full of plot holes.

I love a good dystopian, conspiracy, end of the world, or fighting for survival against the odds movie. This was none of the above. It was interesting for the first 10 minutes at best, then it just got boring. I've seen many, many low-budget movies that were very well written and acted, but this one just sucked in pretty much every way possible.

Upgraded 9/11

Warning: Spoilers
Horrible pacing, and a dumb theme kinda realistic but not really. More of an upscale 9/11 but played worse. Acting was terrible and so was a cgi. Characters poorly casted, concept of the film doesn't seem real. Poorly done scrip. Only a few good characters. The hacking idea is so dumb, the US would have a lot more in place even in 2013. Also, why does China bomb the US didn't people hear about 9/11? The whole China debt this is sooooo dumb, what about taxes? The main character being a CIA agent is a bit too easy to explain how he got the ideas and experience to do the work that he does throughout the film.
