The X-Men franchise gave us a range of A-list actors who ended up playing some of our favorite mutants and X-Men on screen. From Sir Patrick Stewart to Sir Ian McKellen to Hugh Jackman to Halle Berry, we got some perfect renditions of some of our favorite superheroes. Their on-screen chemistry gave way to off-screen camaraderie that became apparent in their fun-filled banter with each other.
Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in X-Men: Days of Future Past
Of all the actors, three are those who have maintained a beautiful relationship on-screen as well. Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen have been part of the X-Men franchise since Day 1. Whereas Stewart and McKellen have been friends for decades, the first X-Men movie was Jackman’s debut project into the world of films. And since then, all three of them have been good friends.

Carl Weathers’ FanDuel SuperBowl ad is being adjusted following the actor’s passing.
The online sports gambling platform released a sneak peek in January of their ad starring former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski, which featured a cameo from the Rocky star.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Carl Weathers,” FanDuel told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “Throughout his life, Carl was an iconic talent who had a profound impact on the people he worked with on and off the screen.”
The statement continued, “FanDuel was fortunate to have had an opportunity to work with him during our Super Bowl campaign. We are adjusting our campaign accordingly out of respect for the family during their time of grief.”
The ad featured Gronkowski walking through the desert toward Las Vegas, on his way to make things right after missing the “FanDuel kick of destiny” last year.

Welcome to Outrage Watch, HitFix's new daily rundown of all the things people are peeved about in entertainment. Today's top story? Jesse Ventura puts "American Sniper" Chris Kyle on blast. The former Minnesota governor slammed the Iraq war vet in an interview with the Associated Press published today, saying in part: "A hero must be honorable, must have honor. And you can't have honor if you're a liar." Ventura was making reference to a passage in Kyle's book where the Seal claimed to have punched out the wrestler in a California bar - an alleged fabrication that netted Ventura $1.8 million in a defamation settlement. So will he be seeing the movie? Not likely: in another choice quote, he calls the Clint Eastwood-directed biopic "as authentic as 'Dirty Harry.'" Oof. Want more? There's plenty of indignation to go around. See below for a full roundup of today's kerfuffles.

Biggest Shock: When Scandal revealed the shooter in the first 5 minutes, we knew it’d be a big episode. But we couldn’t have predicted that literal killer of an ending!

Eh-Mazing Moment of the Week II: Truth be told, we may have been a little too proud of Brick for convincing Frankie and Mike to buy him an iPad on this week’s episode of The Middle.
Coolest Mom: Phylicia Rashad — of Do No Harm, though best known as the mother of The Cosby Show’s clan — took reality show parents to task. “I don’t know mothers who act like that! Do I really want to sit here and watch that? Is that what I want to do with the moments of this life?...

He’s never been shy when it comes to flirting with his beautiful female guests, and Jay Leno thought he hit the jackpot when Bar Refaeli stopped by “The Tonight Show” last night (February 6).
The fun-loving talk show host welcomed the Israeli supermodel to the stage and their conversation quickly turned to Bar’s crazy SuperBowl ad for GoDaddy.
In the spot, Refaeli sucks face with the nerdy Jesse Heiman to show how beautiful and intelligent come together perfectly for the website company.
And Jay told her, “Hey Bar that Go Daddy super bowl advert you did that was great it was one of my favorites. I was wondering, any chance we could recreate the ad?” Refaeli shot back immediately, “Sure! Pucker up!”
Once Leno closed his eyes, Bar brought Heiman out and had him kiss Leno, which obviously drew a disgusted reaction from Jay.

The location of WrestleMania 30, or XXX if you want to go non-pg for a risqué title, is set to be announced in just a few weeks time. While obviously not as impactful as a Superbowl, or other major sporting attractions such as the Olympics (though let’s be fair, nothing is that big), the greatest annual event in the wrestling calendar is still a major boost for the local economy, doing wonders for local hotels, restaurants and bars. This past April’s WrestleMania is said to have made Miami $100m with the economic impact from the week equalling the creation of 1,020 full-time jobs. It is an exciting prospect for any host city so it is little surprise so many are interested.

Think back to Robert De Niro (Heat). Think back to Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman). Robert De Niro was known for his intensity. Al Pacino was known for his flashy screen presence. Now think of veteran character actor of horror films, Bill Oberst Jr. (Dismal, Vivid, The Devil Within). Bill Oberst Jr. has both the flash of Pacino and the intensity of De Niro. It's the best of both worlds in one package. And directors and producers are taking notice. In less then four years, Bill Oberst Jr. has had well over thirty film credits. Since he works his fair share in the horror genre, he is often seen playing the villain or the creepy guy or even, on occasion, the rapist. However, Bill Oberst Jr. wants you to know that their is more to him then just that. That he has an extra layer of dimensionality. That he's not just one note.

R&B pop star gives a career-best acting perfomance in The Social Network, though don't ask him to poke you, he prefers sending postcards
He used to call it his "hobby". Many of us might read, play football or fish, but for Justin Timberlake, Grammy-winning, multi-platinum pop star, his hobby was acting in Hollywood movies. He couldn't just stick to golf (though he's good at that, too).
The self-deprecating description was probably sensible, taking the pressure of expectation off his appearances in films as varied as indie sizzler Black Snake Moan to animated cash cow Shrek The Third. After all, the one-time Disney kid could have expected to see his screen ambitions dismissed as a Mickey Mouse endeavour, although you wouldn't want to mention this to his face. Not because – as with previous singer-actors, from Frank Sinatra to Mark Wahlberg – you'd be worried about getting a smack but because, well,...

Last week the Brangie brood was in Venice; this week they’re in Paris- but don’t kids need some stability and routine, as well as love?
Hey Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — we know you’re loving, attentive parents to your adorable six-pack. But, don’t your children need to have friends, school and stable — surroundings in their lives, especially as they get older? Going to the Superbowl and film premiers is pretty heady stuff for 8 year-old Maddox, but I bet he’d trade red carpets for a room to call his own, a chance to be on a soccer team and some regular playmates of his own age. Any mom like me knows that kids need regular schedules, naps and playmates besides their siblings, to be at their best. I hate to imagine the sib fighting that goes on with the Brangelina brood, cooped up in hotel rooms and private airplanes.

Follow your dreams, but not if they get you injured says Joe Queenan, as he attempts to extract the essential pearl of wisdom from the grit of sports films such as Caddyshack, Invictus and The Blind Side
I have just found out that a professor at a Florida university has been using the 1980 film Caddyshack in a course as "a forum for discussing everything from civility and class distinctions to sports gambling and animal rights". Theodore Curtis teaches sports management at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. Sports management is a discipline that prepares students for careers as, among other things, golf pros. This is precisely the managerial position that comes under siege in Caddyshack, a film in which drunks, gamblers, sluts, drug addicts and pesky subterranean critters wreak havoc at a posh country club. In one of the most memorable scenes, Bill Murray, playing a vigilante groundskeeper, uses high-powered...

Martin Campbell’s superhero action adventure is shaping up very nicely indeed. What with Ryan Reynolds, Peter Sarsgaard and now, Tim Robbins, joining the fray. But there’s still the rumour that Jackie Earle Haley will sign up to play Sinestro floating about, too.
The lanky liberal will Senator Hammond, father of Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sargaard). In a bit of Freudian speculation, it appears Daddy is partly responsible for his son’s turning into a supreme evil villain which Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds) must stop!
The film is gearing towards its slated production start next month in New Orleans (well done on the Superbowl win, by the way). Also having signed to film is Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, the Green Lantern’s bit of skirt. So will the Green Lantern light up the screen in 2011? Will it be in 3D? That seems to be the question on everybody’s lips these days.

I wasn't crazy about the Superbowl ad for Year One because it's tough to sell biblical comedy in 30 seconds to a Superbowl audience overdosing on hot wings and testosterone. But now Sony has released a proper full-length trailer for the film (watch below or over on Yahoo), and I dig it. But look, I'll be completely honest with you and say that I don't know how well biblical comedy will sell to today's one-fart-joke-per-minute audience. I personally find this stuff hilarious; I visited this set, I know the movie and I think it will totally entertain. But will the Superbad kids get this humor? And do they need to in order to enjoy the film?
Based on the trailer, it looks like the biblical jokes will be there for those who want them, but other than that it seems like a straight-up fish-out-of-water comedy with two guys who know what...

Tomorrow's much-anticipated Superbowl movie trailers are beginning to arrive online, with G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra and Race to Witch Mountain landing earlier today (and yesterday), and now we have new previews for Year One, Land of the Lost and Pixar's Up. First we have Year One, which I don't believe is a Superbowl spot because it's over two minutes long -- but it's definitely our first look at the flick, which stars Jack Black and Michael Cera as a couple of moronic hunter/gatherer's living during biblical times. Watch as both Black and Cera stumble across two legendary feuding brothers, played by David Cross and Paul Rudd. Produced by Judd Apatow, and directed by Harold Ramis, Year One hits theaters on June 19.
And the actual 60-second spot is here
Next we have Land of the Lost, starring Will Ferrell, Danny McBride and Anna Friel. Based on the classic TV show,...
